Next Adventure | Rebelle Rally 2025 | Team 114: Patty Upton & Connie Rodman Jan 23, 2025

In this week's episode, I sat down with Patty Upton (S1E1) and Connie Rodman. They make on heck of a team! These woman have teamed up and are going to start training soon for the Rebelle Rally 2025 this October. I plan to follow their journey over the course of the next few months. As most of you already know of Patty's amazing story, here's a short bio on Connie.
Connie Rodman’s passion for Overlanding began in 1989 and grew through adventurous trips with her husband, Graham Jackson. They embarked on a 9-month, 30,000-mile journey from London to Cape Town in 2004. Connie became a fixture at the Overland Expo, teaching since 2009, and in 2017 earned NPTC certification in off-road driving. She has guided and cooked on various Overland expeditions in Southern Africa and Australia.

Beyond Over Land | a nfo mini series throughout 2025 | episode 1 Jan 09, 2025

This is not a nfo regular weekly episode. It's long formatted. I plan to release these at any given time throughout 2025. Check out the video version here.
ABOUT
This is a new mini series that I plan to do throughout this year. The style and content I am after will be different than most in this catagory. I plan to add more cameras and a higher level of production quality too. For now, let's get the ball rolling.
Charlie from Outskirts Overland was my first guest. He and I have done some collars together in the past on each other's podcast. He's a retired United States Marine, who served in active duty as well as crossing back in the civilian world. He has a deep connection with overlanding and finds it to be His source for normalcy.
We start off with normal introductions and some background stories to help paint a better picture for listeners.
After about an hours worth of discussing overlanding and evolving in that department. We move into some heavy thoughts and even discussions about how today's culture is more or less out of touch with reality.
We speak our minds on a few things but we both want to assure the listeners we are not out to seek fighting, arguing or to even agree with most of the topics that were barley even discussed in depth.

Catching up with Patty Upton | Fireside at Big Iron Oct 03, 2024

This was the best, "in person" guest to have had at the one and only Big Iron overland rally in West Mineral, Kansas. Yes, I know. Kansas. It wasn't a bad time if you don't mind sitting in a big open field and looking around at a lot of rigs from all over the country. Looking at some vendors and some food trucks and of course, listening to life music until 11PM even night. This is the place for you! It was very family friendly and had a uniqueness about it I can't place. I also had my first ever Patreon campout that weekend. We were able to get a group discount. Thanks to Chris for that! Loren was a seeker of romantic high adventure, his goal was to take one American-made vehicle, a 1966 CJ-5 Jeep, around the world on a north/south course, from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to Punta Arenas / Chile, Cape Agulhas, South Africa to Gamvik, Norway all on land except for crossing the Atlantic Ocean. This overland journey was over 56,000 miles and provided a lifetime of memories.

 An entry in the 1992 Guinness Book of Records.
