Madame Sherri’s Haunted Castle Jan 30, 2025

In Episode 381 Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger explore the ruins of Madame Sherri’s castle in the woods of Chesterfield, New Hampshire. Built in the early 1930s, this gorgeous home was the site for some wild parties of New York City socialites who came up to the Madame Sherri’s secluded woods to let their hair down. Ever the eccentric, there were rumors that “Madame” may have also been Sherri’s occupation. The house burned down to the stonework in 1962, and today they say the grounds are haunted.

The Indian Lake What-Is-It Jan 23, 2025

The Haunted Fleur de Lys Oct 17, 2024

In Episode 351 Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger explore the ruins of Old Newgate Prison in East Granby, Connecticut. The prison got its start as a copper mine back in 1709. After the mine closed, Connecticut believed they found the perfect place for their first state prison. After multiple escapes and riots, a more formal building was constructed on the site. It was a place the inmates simply called: Hell.

Vermont’s Haunted Police Academy Feb 01, 2024

Though the ban was lifted in 1681, that doesn’t mean Christmas was celebrated. You still had to go to work and school that day for almost the next two centuries. But something changed in 1867 when a man came to Boston with a story that transformed everything. Be careful, this episode may just squish your inner Grinch! When Longfellow Heard the Bells on Christmas Day Dec 21, 2023

In Episode 329 Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger spend Christmas strolling the grounds of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s former mansion in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to witness the birthplace of a poem written Christmas morning in 1863, when Longfellow felt his hope renewed after his son had been badly injured in a Civil War battle. The poem was later turned into a holiday song that’s been recorded by giants like: Burl Ives, Frank Sinatra, Harry Belafonte, Andy Williams, and Johnny Cash.
