With the rise of social media and the spread of false information, individuals are being exposed to harmful and divisive messages that promote racist beliefs. This has created an environment where people are more likely to adopt these ideologies and act upon them, leading to an increase in hate crimes and discrimination. In the lead up to the 2024 presidential election, it is likely that these racist ideologies will continue to increase. Politicians and media outlets may use fear-mongering tactics and divisive rhetoric to appeal to certain groups of voters, further perpetuating these harmful beliefs. Additionally, as the country becomes more polarized and politically divided, individuals may feel emboldened to express their racist views, leading to a normalization of discriminatory behavior. Self-Awareness Series installment: “Cracking the Code: How to Navigate Irrational Behavior in Your Relationships” When people don't get their way in relationships, they can often act in irrational ways. This can manifest as vindictive behavior, such as seeking revenge or trying to hurt the other person in some way. It can also involve manipulation, where the person tries to control the situation or the other person's actions to get what they want. This type of behavior is often a result of feeling hurt, rejected, or not having their needs met. However, it can also stem from deep-seated insecurities and a lack of emotional maturity. In the face of this type of treatment and behavior, it is important to remain calm and not stoop to their level. It can be tempting to react with anger or retaliation, but this will only escalate the situation and potentially cause more harm. Instead, it is important to set boundaries and communicate clearly about how their behavior is impacting the relationship. It is also crucial to practice empathy and try to understand where their irrational behavior is coming from. However, it is also important to have a high level of discernment and recognize when someone's behavior is toxic and damaging to the relationship. In these cases, it may be necessary to distance oneself from the person or seek outside help to address the issue. Ultimately, the best course of action will depend on the specific situation and the willingness of the other person to acknowledge and change their behavior.

They will often lie and deceive those in their personal circle of friends to turn their back on the people they don’t like or don’t agree with their behavior or beliefs. This is done in order to make themselves look better and to gain control over the situation. They may spread false rumors about the person they want to discredit, or they may try to convince their friends to believe their version of the story. This is done in order to gain power and control over the situation and to make themselves look better in the eyes of their friends. In addition, narcissistic people may also enlist the help of their friends to become their flying monkeys. These are people who are willing to spread the lies and rumors that the narcissist has created about the person they want to discredit. They may also assist in building a false narrative about the person that the narcissist has created. This false narrative can be used to further discredit the person and gain more control over the situation. By using their friends as flying monkeys, the narcissist is able to gain more power and control over the situation and make themselves look better in the eyes of their friends.

With self-awareness, we can recognize our emotions and how they affect our relationships and decisions. We can also identify our core values and align our actions with our beliefs.
Self-awareness is essential for any leader, as it allows them to better understand the needs of their team, and recognize how their own emotions and beliefs can influence their decisions. It also helps leaders to be more adaptable, as they can recognize when their strategies are not working, and adjust accordingly. Self-awareness also helps leaders to be more empathetic and compassionate, as they can understand the feelings and perspectives of others. A leader who is self-aware is better able to lead their team to success, as they can recognize their own strengths and weaknesses, and use them to their advantage.
