Nestled Holiday Tips- April & Bayleigh [Ep. 36] Nov 15, 2018

Today we are ushering you into the Holiday Season with an episode full of our tips for how to continue living with intentionality. We broke the episode into 3 categories: gathering, feathering, and guarding your nest.

Gathering:
- We tackle a listener question: what are some staples to keep on hand for drop-in guests? (We may or may not get a little carried away here!)
- Some encouragement to give yourself a break on the perfection, and really love your people
- A reminder that an open home normally begins with an invitation, and that we need to seek out the lonely and hurting in our life a little extra this time of year
Feathering:
- One of our biggest Christmas decorating tips: delete first!
- A few tree decoration tips
Guarding:
- We tackle an often touchy subject- being careful with accepting or declining an invitation, and a reminder to extend grace to our family and friends who may be in a busy season with their kids

Beyond Being Good- Katrina McCain [Ep. 32] Sep 26, 2018

I’m IKatrina McCain is a former Fashion Model from Charlotte, NC. She is the founder and president of Pearls of Hope Outreach and has a passion to encourage women of all ages to live for Jesus authentically, in spite of the culture that tells them they can’t. She's earned a BA in Literature from UNC-Charlotte and holds an MA in Education. She is the proud wife of her husband, Jarrett, and mother to her sweet girls, Kailyn and Jaelle.

We were able to hear from Katrina about Beyond Being Good- her new book! She shares why this message is for woman on both ends of the spectrum- the ones who have struggled with pride about being "good," and the ones who have struggled with the feeling of never being "good enough."

She also dishes on her past career in the fashion industry as a model, and how that encouraged her to build other women up. You know we love a good cheerleader of her fellow girls, and Katrina is such a sweet example of doing just that!

Her work has been featured on many blogs and publications and she was recently named Best Calligrapher in the South by Southern Weddings. Maghon has partnered to letter items and host events with national retailers such as West Elm, Neiman Marcus, Kendra Scott, Anthropologie, and Swoozies, as well as dozens of local businesses across North Carolina.

Maghon’s favorite part of her business is teaching and she has taught nearly 4,000 students how to spread happiness through their handwriting with her traveling lettering workshops. She is also the author of Happy Hand Lettering, and has a second book in the works.

She is crazy about her business, but she most enjoys doodling around her home that she shares with her husband and middle school sweetheart Chris, and their one year old son, Vance.

Life in a Renovated RV- Ashley Petrone [Ep. 11] Jan 10, 2018

On today's podcast we talk with Ashely Petrone of Arrows and Bow. Ashley and her family moved from their 5 bedroom house in Southern California into a renovated RV. While they plan to eventually build a home on the land where the RV now sits, they are "finding joy in the in-between."

We asked Ashley to dish on questions we were curious about, including:

How do they handle laundry?
Do they have a TV?
How long does it take to clean the RV?
Do they still entertain guests?

We also chat about the hardest part of living in the RV with a family of 5, and how this experience will shape their lives moving forward.

Francine Ivey and her husband Wade were married for almost 27 years when he was tragically killed in a car accident this past January. Francine soon found herself taking the reigns of their ministry- Consumed By The Call. She has faithfully done a live devo each day since!
