    It's a story of abuse cycles, physical abuse, suicide threats, trauma bonds, intergenerational trauma, isolation, embarrassment, shame, rages, smearing, destabilization, suicidal ideation, future faking, hopelessness, depression, loyalty, double lives, being kind to yourself, hoovering, loneliness, forgiving yourself, plausible deniability, fawning, caretaking, fear, stalking, and guilt.

    Charlie & The Deceitful Physical Abuser - Domestic Violence, Narcissist Abuse Jan 01, 2024

    Charlie was new to the United States when he started a long-distance relationship with a fellow church member back home. She was calming and made him feel special. Charlie had a future planned, and his new love seemed to share the same goals. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Charlie, he was dealing with a serial cheater who was using him to get a green card.

    It's a story of future faking, infidelity, suicide threats, gaslighting, physical abuse, minimization, arguments, lies, intimidation, empathy, hoovering, changing tactics, and holding onto a fantasies.

    Millie & The Controlling Daughter-In-Law - Narcissist Apocalypse, Grandparent Alienation Dec 24, 2023

    In this episode, we wade through the heartache of family estrangement with our latest guest Millie. As we sit with Millie, we uncover the deep-seated intricacies of her role as a grandmother, whose love for her grandchild is entangled in a thorny relationship with her daughter-in-law.

    What started off as providing a home and childcare to her son's family, turned into shifting boundaries, dehumanization, and isolation within her own home. At some points, Millie was barely allowed upstairs, and not even acknowledged with the decency of a hello.

    Millie's story exposes the maze of grandparent alienation and the relentless pursuit to maintain a thread of connection despite the harsh reality of manipulation and control.

    Angelica & The Controlling Physical Abuser - Domestic Violence, Narcissist Abuse Dec 11, 2023

    Angelica's future husband was her child's martial arts instructor. Angelica saw him as responsible and safe. However, the persona Angelica's husband projected to the outside world was just a facade. Once they got married, Angelica's husband became very controlling, was unfaithful, and became sexually/physically/financially/emotionally abusive toward her.

    It's a story of coercive control, rage, security, protection orders, excuses, feeling trapped, physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse, and support.
