    Parental alienation is a distressing phenomenon that occurs when one parent manipulates their child into rejecting the other parent, often as a result of high-conflict divorce or separation. This deliberate and harmful behavior can have long-lasting effects on the child’s mental and emotional well-being, as well as on the relationship between the child and the alienated parent. Common tactics of parental alienation may include denigrating the targeted parent, interfering with visitation or communication, and fostering an unhealthy dependency on the alienating parent. Recognizing the signs of parental alienation early on is crucial for intervention and preventing further damage to the parent-child relationship.

    Dealing with parental alienation can be an incredibly challenging and isolating experience for targeted parents. It’s essential for targeted parents to seek support from knowledgeable professionals and advocacy groups specializing in parental alienation, as well as to prioritize self-care and resilience-building strategies to navigate this complex and emotionally fraught situation.
