Dr. Jamal Fitts and Dr. Wendell Cole are here to light that fire under your feet and get your blood pumping with some good Orthopaedic Knowledge. We stay away from the boring, put you to sleep lectures, and just come with some high quality content and fun. Its a great podcast for attending physicians, residents, and medical students. Topics include high yield trauma, pediatrics, spine, sports, hand, and foot and ankle. There may also be some off brand topics.

    Dr. Michael Decker, MD is an orthopedic surgeon at the UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM. He completed his orthopaedic surgical training in Albuquerque, NM at the University of New Mexico. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery at Western University in London, Ontario (CA).

    Adam D. Bitterman, DO is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is a foot and ankle specialist and has a focus in treating conditions of the lower leg. His clinical interests include arthritis of the foot and ankle, deformity correction, Achilles tendon disorders, and sports-related injuries to the ankle and foot. He is highly skilled in arthroscopic, minimally invasive, and open approaches for various conditions surrounding the lower foot and ankle.

    Dr. Bitterman is a graduate of Binghamton University and pursued his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at North Shore-LIJ Plainview Orthopaedic Consortium before graduating from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where he completed his foot and ankle fellowship training. While in Chicago, he worked along side the team physicians for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Additionally, he won the Jorge A. Galante Research Fellow Award for his work on Achilles tendinosis.

    Adam serves as the co-chair of the Research Committee for the Plainview Hospital Orthopaedic Residency program. His research interests include clinical outcomes after foot and ankle surgery, Achilles tendon pathology, patient comprehension and residency training. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in orthopaedic journals and books chapters in orthopaedic textbooks. Dr. Bitterman has lectured to his peers as well as allied health professionals on various topics involving the lower extremity at local, regional and national meetings.

    Robert H. Cho, M.D., is the chief of staff and a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Shriners for Children Medical Center — Pasadena and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received an undergraduate degree with honors in chemistry from Cornell University and a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was a medical scholar and recipient of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Award. Dr. Cho completed his residency and served as chief administrative resident in orthopaedic surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. His fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and scoliosis was completed at the University of California San Diego College of Medicine and Rady Children's Hospital.

    He is also on the board of directors for POSNA and is an ABOS question writer! And this is a great episode !!!

    Dr. Nuelle is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship trained in sports medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society. He then moved to Chicago, where he earned his medical doctorate and graduated with honors from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Missouri and was fortunate to receive many awards, including the Allen Menard leadership award, the Barry J. Gainor resident award in education, and the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute outstanding Orthopaedic resident award.

    During his residency, Dr. Nuelle gained the skills necessary to treat a vast array of orthopaedic injuries and patients of any age, but he discovered a special interest in treating athletic injuries. He completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Missouri, where he furthered his knowledge of arthroscopic surgical techniques for the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle as well as partial knee replacements. He also served as a team physician for University of Missouri Athletics.

    Dr. Schmitz is the Chair of Orthopaedics at San Antonio Military Medical Center. In leading the largest orthopaedics department in the DoD, he helps guide a multispecialty department for care of active duty soldiers, retirees, and their families.

    As faculty at San Antonio Military Medical Center he is the sole pediatric orthopaedic surgeon in the US Air Force. Previously the Associate Program Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program at SAMMC. Practice interests include the care of pediatric developmental conditions and injuries, adolescent sports medicine, and young adult hip pathology with both open and arthroscopic hip preservation techniques . Dr. Schmitz is also currently one of the team physicians for the USA Men's National Rugby Team.
