It wasn't just a cloud... it was a giraffe, a car, a castle, a spaceship. Turns out humans have been doing this for a long time. Shapes in spilled wine divine the future. Shapes in the bottom of your teacup predict the day. Shapes in the smoke are messages from the dead. Why do we do this? and more importantly... how can we use this as a modern (and fun) tool for self-reflection, clarity & insight? That's not just foam on top of your latte... it's a MESSAGE. This is modern, every day, ordinary, run-of-the-mill DIVINATION. What is Occultism? Sep 17, 2021

Show notes

In this episode I talk to about a term that is typically taboo out there in the Muggle world. Occultism. But is it really all dark and ceremonial and moody? Or are there other facets too? In this solo episode I discuss my views on the subject. We dive into the ties between witchcraft and occultism... are all witches actually occultists too? We define terms like ”supernatural” and how that definition informs our practice.

Episode Summary (notes & sources below): In this episode I talk about the magic of meditation, how to (attempt) to define it, why many of us attempt to skip it when we engage in Occultism or Witchcraft, and the work of Richard Davidson & Daniel Goleman. Together they have experimented and written about the benefits of meditation. Join me as I fall down a meditation rabbit-hole! NOTES & SOURCES: * I made an error! What is Chaos Magic? Jul 08, 2021

Show notes

Episode Summary (notes & sources below): In this episode I talk about my personal definition of chaos magic (or chaos magick). It is, by the definition itself ... hard to define. But I like to think of it as a psychological form of spell work or witchcraft. Here anything goes and we use belief as a tool for achieving a specific intention. We harness spiritual beliefs as something that we can shift to suit our needs in the moment. Get ready to embark on a wild ride. NOTES, SOURCES AND/OR THINGS MENTIONED: What Is Chaos Magic?
