This week we dive back into the Marvel universe of deck building games with Upper Deck Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game.

Upper Deck Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game

Legendary is a deck-building game set in the Marvel Comics universe. To set up the game, players choose a number of hero decks from the likes of Spider-man, Hulk, Cyclops or Wolverine, and shuffle them together to get a variety of hero decks. Players then choose a mastermind villain (Magneto, Loki, Dr. Doom, etc.) and stack that particular villain's attack cards underneath it. Next, modify the villain deck as needed based on that villain's particular scheme.

There's a new Munchkin Booster pack, but you've probably never heard of it... It's the Munchkin Minute!

From the Press Release
Steve Jackson Games has a long history of making obscure boutique games, but all that’s changing with Munchkin Hipsters. In partnering with ThinkGeek, Steve Jackson Games ensures that Munchkin Hipsters will reach audiences everywhere, no matter what brand of locally sourced, organic coffee they enjoy (or pretend to enjoy).

Munchkin Hipsters is available first from ThinkGeek. This masterpiece of corporate brilliance is a 30-card booster with more hipster jokes than you can shake a mustache comb at.

“We love ThinkGeek and we’re really excited to be partnering with them on Munchkin Hipsters,” said Brian Engard, Marketing Director for Steve Jackson Games. “Also, on a more personal level, I’m really excited that we’re doing a booster about people like me. Or, you know, I would be, if I could show excitement and disaffected ennui simultaneously.”

Four heroes enter the arena, but only one will be crowned the winner! It is an all out super battle, as we play Super Munchkin from Steve Jackson Games.

SUPER MUNCHKING

Fly through the city. Smash the villains. Backstab your teammates and grab their gadgets. Munchkin has parodied the classic dungeon, the kung-fu warrior, the space epic, and the creatures of the night. Now, it's the superheroes' turn! Be a Mutant, an Exotic, a Mystic, or a Techno. The higher your Level, the more Powers you can have. Battle dastardly masterminds, devastating monsters, and invading aliens from the next dimension – from the wimpy Bucketman all the way up to Big Ol' Planet Eater Guy himself – and TAKE THEIR STUFF! With the Electro-Mento-Hat, the Telezapinator, and the (jet-powered) Pogo Stick, no foe can stand before you. Super Munchkin is a stand-alone game, which (of course) can be combined with other Munchkin games. Designed by Steve Jackson and illustrated by John Kovalic, this one is destined to RULE THE WORLD! Mwahahaha! Now in Full Color!
