Show notes
January 15, 2014: In today's show I have the honor of interviewing Joyce Pierce author of Saving Nikki. Joyce's novel was written for her children, but after reading Joyce's well written accounts of her life I know she will be helping many other women and young women that find themselves in similar situations.
As Joyce stated, “At our house, I was dealing with alcohol, abuse, and abandonment. Any one of those “A’s” can break up a family, and cause low self-esteem, but when you have all three of them, there are sure to be problems. The problem, as I saw it, was that everyone was so wrapped up in their own issues that mine weren't even considered. Because of that, at fifteen, I was making choices that would affect me for the rest of my life.”
