Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 75 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
This week we are joined by Bob Sweeney President of Jeepers Jamboree, which hosts the Grandaddy of all Jeeping Events on the famous Rubicon Trail. Bob digs into why, despite everything and lots of community support, they decided to cancel Jeepers Jamboree this year [the first time in 67 years], how their County was threatened by Governor Newsom, how they get 800 Jeeps through this epic trail, handling emergencies on the trail, why the Rubicon Trail depends on Jeepers Jamboree for it’s own survival, having incredible volunteers, the Jeep Jamboree Kids program called Camp Rubicon, what the history is between Jeepers Jamboree and Jeep Jamboree USA, and Going Ultra4.
Amongst all this, Bob and Corey manage to educate Matson on what a “Section” is.
This week’s Tech Tip of the Week is all about being prepared for instantly changing weather on the trail.
So, sit back, relax with a cold one, and enjoy Episode number 75 of The ModernJeeper Show…

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 74 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
This week Corey, Jessy and Matson are back at Metalcloak World Headquarters in Northern California for a rare face to face podcast… kinda.
We dive right into event planning problems, whether or not you’d do SEMA if you have to wear a face shield, what the Rubicon trail is like right now, CRAWL the ‘Con, not running a sway bar on Golden Spike and the big question when buying a Gladiator… Rubicon or not?
This week we are joined by our good friend Ricky Artes of JeepersDen, one of the premier off road shops in all of Florida. Ricky shares with us the perfect night at Panama City Jeep Jam, why JeepersDen does events all over the Country, what his first Jeep was and why he still has it, when he started being an entrepreneur, what the off road world is like in Puerto Rico, why he builds Mall Crawlers, wheeling out of state, selling product on Etsy, and, of all things, how he recently became a Citrus Farmer with 3000 Orange Trees.
And, of course, we all talk about Ford’s release of the New Bronco.

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 73 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
This week we put together a show while Matson's in Lincoln City and Corey and Jessie are driving from Colorado to California… there are times when the audio is not studio quality… but we hope you still enjoy our conversation.
We cover Jeep AC, strange weather during a strange year, finding food while traveling, going backwards, getting away from it all in a Jeep, myriad Jeep JL & JT options, why Jeep needs an Anywhere on the Planet Protection Policy, and why Matson's JK has a black trash bag over a rear quarter window.
And of course, we have our Tech Tip of the Week, while preparing for a trip, maybe you should go through your stuff and see what you DON’T need.

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 72 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
With all of the craziness going on in our world, some days we just have to throw our hands up, take a breath, and remember how we got here. It seems that planning for pretty much anything is a true challenge. Jeep events, including our very own Modern Jeeper Adventures trips to Tillamook, OR and the Rubicon Trail have been put off for now. Even the events that had postponed are now starting to throw in the towel and just wait until next year. There are a few that are still trying to hold on, including one of our favorites, The Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion in Pigeon Forge, TN. I know our fingers are crossed that it still happens.
With the 4th of July happening this weekend, we know you are all still planning on celebrating our freedoms...the best way we know how, by getting outside in our Jeeps! Many of us still have projects we are working on and that might be how you plan on celebrating this important holiday...but either way, cheers to our country and our freedoms that we still have!
I spent a few hours this morning with my friends at a local shop tearing apart an ARB air locker to fix an internal leak. For our Tech Tip of the Week, we chat about air lockers; what you should check; why your compressor might be running non stop; and how to fix it. Stay tuned for some video of what that project looks like as well!

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 71 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
The CTI Tour has been on the Road! Jessy "RockStar Jeep Girl" and myself have been on the road for just over 2 weeks and all I can say is that things have definitely changed! Literally from State to State, County to County and sometimes block to block, the rules and their interpretation are definitely unique.
We trekked across the Southwest in order to attend the 5th year of the Florida Jeep Jam in Panama City Beach, and I will say that us as an industry and as Jeepers are a resilient bunch! We crave getting outside and we miss our fellow enthusiasts...but most of all we miss Jeeping!
This week Matson talks a little politics, but it's not what you think; we chat about new products; changes within the industry; why bigger is better isn't always true; where to post a meme with anonymity; structural tubing strengths; amazon Jeep parts; Jeep upgrades; my new business selling stamps; and why Day 'Aight Donuts should be a thing!

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 70 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
With Jessy "RockStar" Greenland and myself on the way to Florida Jeep Jam, one of the few events that has not been cancelled, and Matson juggling to keep the wheels on the bus, we decided it was time to reach outside our box and see what a few others are thinking about these days.
This week we are bringing back 3 off-road industry experts to check in on their perspectives of our current state of affairs. John Herrick of CRAWL Magazine, David Johnson of Northridge 4x4, and Larry McRae of Zion Jeep Tours and Outback Safaris discuss what things are like through their eyes and in their areas of the country. We talk about all things that "matter", including inventory; technology; projects; backcountry travel; flexibility; what spiked means to you; the country of CHAZ; and whether the media and numbers actually do fit in this category.

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 69 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
This week Rockstar Jeep Girl Jessy and myself get back on the road as the CTI Tour heads East! Matson is holding down the fort in California making sure that some new products are headed your way very soon!
Travel these days is definitely different as well as challenging. We will share with you all what it's like in a few of the states that we have crossed so far; why "Know Before You Go" is a good idea; what you should pay attention to at gas stations, hotels and restaurants; things you should check before you might need them, like the AC in your Jeep; and why aliens should be scared.
In our Tech Tip of the Week, maintenance again is the key! We talk about a couple of things like the air pressure in your tires, recharging your AC on your own, and how being flexible can make life easier on the road.

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 68 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
The Jeep Doctor, Dave Thompson, joins us this week from Temecula, California to talk about Jeeps! From his CJ-7, to his YJ "Mayhem", to drag racing in the 90's, Dave shares with us a few of his favorite places to get away...even a little known trail near Soggy Dry Lake in Johnson Valley.
Matson, "Rockstar Jeep Girl" Jessy and myself, chat about Moab; Magic for Humans; why a rage room makes sense these days; the BLM movement; Jeep Galdiator rack systems; keeping a 2 door JK on all 4 wheels; and the upcoming CTI Tour...

Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 67 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.
The word is out! Wheeling IS practicing social distancing! And...Moab is open and still just as amazing as it always was!
This week, Matson and myself chat about...well...most everything! We recap this past week which includes an in depth perspective of Moab; Memorial Day vs Veteran's Day; how to design T-shirts; sending us your jeep projects; why Matson might be a "Covidiot"; why we should have "No Ragrets"; and the state of our Jeeping lifestyle!
Rugged Radios gets some love as I chat about what they are doing in order to help us communicate with each other while out on the trail...and noting that its all FCC licensed, compliant and certified! And I need to correct the antenna information that I gave out...it's a 1/4 wave and only 18" tall!
Our Tech Tip this week is actually a question that we are putting out there to all of you! When standing a Jeep on it's tail, what are some solutions to keeping fluid flowing in the transmission?
