    The Modern Day Sniper Podcast is your ultimate source for insights and discussions on the sniper lifestyle, from active duty to life beyond the uniform. Hosted by Caylen Wojcik, join us as we explore the art and science of precision shooting, the mental and physical discipline required, and the ongoing journey of self-improvement and mastery.Caylen began his professional journey as a rifleman in the US Marine Corps, where he served as a Scout/Sniper and instructor. He trained Marines, soldiers, and Navy operatives in marksmanship and urban combat tactics. After sustaining severe injuries in 2004, Caylen passed his experience to new snipers before leaving active duty. Since then, he has taught precision rifle skills to hundreds of military, law enforcement, and civilians.

    You asked about hand loading, so we listened! We have a special guest on the podcast who needs no introduction in the precision shooting world, Mr. Scott Satterlee. Scott is a renowned handloading “tinkerer”, and we wanted to go straight to the source for the latest information regarding handloading. Scott takes us through his process of brass preparation, when to trim and anneal cases, and his process for developing the load. There are mountains of information in this episode, so have a pen and paper handy! We’re really excited to have this opportunity to talk with Scott and to give you an opportunity to hear what he’s got to say.     Caylen flies solo on this episode answering some listener questions. Before he dives in, he talks about the new online training courses coming together, a little deeper look into what it means to have “mindfulness behind the rifle,” and the benefits of a morning routine setting the precedence for your day. The Q&A was a great spread of questions, ranging from barrels, being wary of the man who only owns one rifle, reticles, external ballistics questions, and rifle fit. Caylen wraps it up talking about the importance of keeping a shooter’s journal and the impact it can have on your training progression.
