With a scheduled noon start for the series finale in Detroit, it’s an abbreviated, but informative edition of “Twins Today”. Twins’ Sr. Vice President of Operations Matt Hoy provides a detailed plan to ramp up attendance over the next two months, hopefully culminating with 100% capacity by the 4th of the July. St. Paul Saints Vice President of Media Relations/Broadcasting Sean Aronson jumps on the mic to discuss the first week to the minor league seasons and the Saints’ plans for their home opener. Finally, the White Sox beat writer for The Athletic – James Fegan – helps us preview the upcoming Twins series at Guaranteed Rate Field.

5/9/21: Inside Twins May 09, 2021

Things have not gone according to the script through the first 32 games for the Twins. General manager Thad Levine joins Inside Twins to break down the rough start to the season. He describes some of the issues plaguing the team as unsustainable, but presents data which would indicate hopefully an upcoming change in the trends. The bullpen has been a big area of concern, Thad addresses that along with his continued belief in the relievers. Injuries and struggles have resulted in a ton of roster shuffling, more than he anticipated making through the first several months of the season.
