It has been a tough start a big three game series against Cleveland. Twins’ President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey stops by “Inside Twins” to discuss the importance of the series finale. He also looks at the factors which have led Twins starters to go less than 5 innings 61 times so far this season, with the team being 19-42 in those contests. Derek provides a handful of injury updates, and then dives into the recently announced new rules for 2023 such as the pitch clock and cutting down on defensive shifts. Finally, he addresses the situation from Friday’s game when manager Rocco Baldelli asked the umpires to check Cleveland reliever James Karinchak for a foreign substance
