SEYMOUR-JOHNSON: Tricia Todd Apr 05, 2021

Show notes

On April 26, 2016, Single Mom Tricia Todd left her Hobe Sound, Florida home and she was never seen alive again… Tricia was a free spirit – some thought she may have left on a trip alone. But this was suspicious because she failed to pick up her 2-year old daughter and failed to make any plans for her care. Then, after Tricia practically vanished – various suspects began to appear. Who was responsible for her disappearance? Was it her ex-husband? Was it a musician/ventriloquist Tricia had recently become obsessed with? Was it her ex-husband’s new girlfriend? Or was it the preacher she often met up with to chat spirituality at 1am near the beach?

Dig in with Margot as she tells you all about Tricia Todd - the Air Force veteran, the single-mom and the hospice nurse.

FORT BRAGG: Lisa Bryant Mar 29, 2021

Show notes

Some men just cannot take “NO” for an answer. In 1993, 2Lt Lisa Bryant, a Princeton University Army ROTC graduate, declined to dance with Sergeant First Class Ervin Graves. He was needy and asked her 3xs, but she declined. Her denials weren’t taken well and later she would find out the price of saying “No.”

Dig in with Margot as she tells you this tragic tale of murder in the military ranks.

UNSOVLED: David Cox Mar 15, 2021

Show notes

A Few Good Men was inspired by real life events, but the real Hollywood story came many years after…

David Cox was one of the Marine hazers in the real-life story of A Few Good Men. But the actual story behind the movie was significantly different – for example, the hazed Marine did not die – he actually went on to make a full recovery, after a death scare.

Well – one of the Marines who demanded a trial by Court-Martial was David Cox and this is his story. After leaving the Marines with an Honorable discharge, David’s life was tragically cut short a few years later…but who wanted him dead?

Dig in with Margot as she tells you all about the life and death of David Cox.

If you or anyone you know have information about David’s murder, any information, however small can be helpful in this cold case. Please contact the Massachusetts State Police at 617-593-8840.

MALI: Green Beret Logan Melgar Mar 08, 2021

Show notes

On June 4, 2017, Green Beret Staff Sergeant Logan Melgar was deployed in Mali, when he was startled by intruders in his safe house…But these were not intruders at all – it was 4 of his comrades (Navy Seals Tony Dedolph, Adam Matthews, Marine Raiders Mario Madera-Rodriguez and Kevin Maxwell Jr). What happened next is something out of a movie similar to “A Few Good Men.” Except this was not Hollywood – this was real life.

Dig in with Margot as she tells you all about this “hot off the press” case – a case that has taken over 3 years to bring justice for the death of Green Beret Staff Sergeant Logan Melgar.

OFFUTT: John Joubert Mar 01, 2021

Show notes

In the 80s, it appeared that wherever John Joubert went, young boys always turned up dead. Whether it was his hometown in Maine or his duty location near Offutt AFB. John always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But he was a devout Boy Scout – earning his Eagle Scout badge and even becoming an assistant scout leader. He was lauded by many as a model young man. But little did they know, that deep down was a true monster.

Dig in with Margot as she tells you all about a less known serial killer – John Joubert.

FORT MEADE: Karlyn Ramirez Feb 22, 2021

Show notes

In 2015, a newly minted military mom was found dead in her home near Fort Meade, with her 4-month-old daughter in her arms. Karlyn Ramirez was an active-duty Army intelligence analyst at Fort Meade, Maryland. So, when she was discovered dead in her Severn home, people thought it might have something to do with her super-secret squirrely job.

But was it that? Or could her active-duty husband, Maliek Kearney, stationed 500 miles away have been involved? Not possible - he had a solid alibi.

Investigators would have to use good ol’ fashion detective work to get to the bottom of Karlyn’s murder. And while Karlyn’s family lost hope – the investigators burned the midnight oil to discover a sinister plot.

Dig in with Margot as she tells you all about Karlyn Ramirez.

In 2008, three Fort Bragg female soldiers were murdered in cold blood…Megan Touma, Holley Wimunc, and Christina Smith. Was there a serial killer on the loose? Or was someone pretending to be a serial killer by sending the Fayetteville Observer a copy cat letter claiming to be taking a page out of the now-infamous, yet never caught serial killer – the zodiac killer?

Dig in with Margot as she tells you this tale that had female soldiers in all of North Carolina – shaking in their combat boots.

SERIAL KILLER: Reta Mays Feb 01, 2021

Show notes

When you think of a serial killer, you think of someone who lurks late at night, attacks when you least suspect it and sneaks away into the darkness. You rarely think there might be a serial killer lurking at a hospital, waiting to snuff your life out ahead of time.

Today’s story is about the scariest type of serial killer – the one who is supposed to make you feel better, but instead turns into an Angel of Death. This is the story of Reta Mays – a nurse’s assistant at the Louis A. Johnson Medical Center in West Virginia.

Dig in with Margot as she discusses the death of 8 veterans who died at the hands of this serial killer.
