    Yokohama

Our hosts start off the the episode with some good old banter, including some recently played games. Zach ventured into unknown space in Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black, Jeff built a city in Honshu, and Adrian switched a job in Grifters. After some catchup in The Bloody Minute, they move on to News and Kickstarter. In news, Asmodee goes solo on distributors, Betrayal gets a D&D skin, and Colonists tries to court to Co-Op Crowd. In Kickstarters, Catan gets an “interesting” reskin, The Component Collector pulls at Jeff’s Wallet, and Zombicide: Green Horde continues to make the money. Next up is the review of the week, Yokohama. Does this worker movement game make all the right moves and puts you on the right tile for success? Or does it block you from doing anything strategic, leaving you to just pick some tea leaves? Find out inside! Our Hosts talk about their meetup with a listener and tease the anniversary show to close out the episode.

    Legendary Encounters: Alien vs Predator

Joining our hosts is another new guest, Richard, and he tries to sell the merits of Monopoly before everyone digs into some newly played games. Zach built a window in Sagrada, Adrian somehow did not overdose himself with heavy games at HeavyCon, Richard stole some money in Grifters, and Jeff punched a guy in Gloomhaven. After breaking his losing streak in The Bloody Minute, they move on to some CMON focused News and Kickstarters. CMON and IELLO talk about their Minimum Advertised Pricing Policies, Black Plague gets a companion app, and the newest KS, Zombicide Green Horde, gets discussed. Moving on to the review of the week, a pair of deckbuilders get compared. Does Legendary Encounters: Alien facehug you with some great themes and cooperation, or does it burst through your chest with some mediocre art to leave you dead on the ground? Does LE: Predator rip your spine out with greatness? Or does leave you pushing pencils? Which one is better? Find out inside! A couple BGG responses for the discussion thread are answered, and an email and tweet close out the show.

    Show notes

    Social Games: Hidden Identities!

With Adrian and Zach fresh from another convention, our hosts start off the episodes with reactions from Geekway to the West and all their recently played games. Jeff got another chance to play Hit Z Road, Zach found an amazing game in Flatline, and Adrian shipped some rice in Indonesia. Afterwards, Jeff finally gets some more blood bowl goodness. In a short news and Kickstarter section, the Spiel des Jahres 2017 nominations are discussed, an update on the Games upgrades 3.0 KS, and Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea is relaunched. Moving onto the review of the week, our hosts talk about a trio of Social games with Hidden Identities and deduction. These games include Ultimate Werewolf, The Resistance, and Secret Hitler. Are these games able to hide their wonderful goodness away from prying eyes, allowing them to be ripe for consumption? Or do the flaws of social gaming cause them to argue amongst themselves while you just find something better to do? Find out inside! A BGG question is answered, and a special live play of Win, Lose, or Banana is attempted. A Special announcement closes out the show.
