Williams, aka “Omar” from The Wire and “Chalky White” from Boardwalk Empire” stopped by Jack Demsey’s to join Lee Abbamonte and myself for some shenanigans. Mike Safo with UFC Champion and Legend, WWE / WWF Alumni, Dan Severn Apr 29, 2018

Show notes

Joined today by former UFC champion, UFC Hall of Famer, NWA Champion, WWF alumni, one of the baddest dudes on the planet... “The Beast” Dan Severn. Dan is driving 17 hours so he decided to kill some time and call into my podcast. The Beast and I talk about how winning the Olympic Gold medal would’ve taken him down a different path than being a pro wrestler & fighter. We step away from the ring and talk about how Dan spends his free time on his monstrous Michigan compound (hint: he has quite the green thumb). Dan breaks down how he got started in the UFC and why he felt he had an advantage over the other fighters and the moment he knew that Ultimate Fighting would be huge. The Beast tells a never before told story about a brutal cage fight he had as an amateur fighter in Istanbul. Did Vince McMahon propose any silly gimmicks for Dan? Obviously we get into his time in the WWF, how he was treated by the other wrestlers in the locker room, and the time he threatened the WWF. From his thoughts on Brock Lesnar to rumors of him fighting animals inside of a cock fighting ring in Mexico, Dan brings his unique dry sense of humor to the podcast.
