    ABOUT ADRIENNE CAMP
    Adrienne “Adie” Camp, a South African singer and songwriter, was the lead singer of the Christian rock band The Benjamin Gate before launching her solo career. She is married to fellow musician Jeremy Camp, whom she met on tour in 2002. They have been married since 2003 and have two daughters, Bella and Arie, and one son, Egan. Adrienne is deeply passionate about her marriage and her family. She homeschools her children as they often accompany Jeremy on tour.

    She has authored three books—Even Me, an illustrated children’s book about her daughters’ adventurous trip to Uganda, In Unison, which she coauthored with her husband, Jeremy, about navigating their marriage and relationship, and As for Me: Life Through the Lens of the Psalms, a Bible study book with Lifeway Women. So far, she has traveled to twenty different countries and is motivated by a desire to see people encounter God’s love all around the world.

    Katie McCoy serves as director of women's ministry at Texas Baptists. She holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Southwestern Seminary (Texas), where she served on faculty for five years. Katie's research includes the patterns of justice for women in Old Testament laws as well as the intersection of theology, gender, and women's studies. She is a frequent speaker and writer on women's and gender issues. Her book, To Be a Woman: The Confusion Over Female Identity and How Christians Can Respond, comes out in June 2023.     Author and policy director Chelsea Patterson Sobolik joins us today to discuss adoption, longing for motherhood, and her new book, Called to Cultivate. Every woman has experienced longing, even if it hasn’t been specifically for motherhood. Mother’s Day can be a difficult time for many women who have experienced loss or longing. How can churches both celebrate moms and recognize those in the room who don’t have a child to hold? What are some of the common issues women experience when their longings go unfulfilled?     Today we welcome Vaneetha Risner to discuss her new Bible study, Desperate for Hope. Have you ever asked, Why am I going through this? What if this never gets better? Does God really care about me? When life falls apart, it’s easy to feel alone and slip into despair—disillusioned with God, hopeless about the future, and doubting your faith. In her 7-session study, Vaneetha tackles the hard questions and offers a scriptural framework to help you find hope in your pain.
