Om Bhagavan Sivananda Bhagavan with the Bhaktas: The Bhaktas are a band which came together at Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg. Listen how the Bhaktas inspire each person to sing the Mantra Om Bhagavan Sivananda Bhagavan. Inspired is this kirtan by and through Swami Sivananda, Yoga Master (1887-1963) - this Yoga Master is likewise the inspiring virtue behind Yoga Vidya. The text of this kirtan is: Om Bhagavan Shri Bhagavan Ananda Bhagavan Sivananda Bhagavan. You can find this Kirtan in our Yoga Vidya Kirtanheft as No. 354. The meaning of this mantra is in detail: Bhagavan means "who lives from the divine source" Om means the "cosmic sound" and ananda is the all-embracinge joy or bliss. "Shri" is used in Sanskrit as an expression of respect and reverence for a person. The vocal artist is Janin Devi. The recording dates from a concert at Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg.
