Gabe Kennedy - Is Cannabis Medicinal: Understanding CBD Mar 02, 2020
    Show notes

Gabe Kennedy is the Co-Founder of Plant People. The award winning chef turned entrepreneur grew up in Boulder, Colorado where he developed an affinity for plant-based nutrition, sustainability and alternative wellness approaches from an early age. He began his career at the age of 14 working in local restaurants and his passion for health led him to graduate from The Culinary Institute of America and Cornell University.

A rising talent in the culinary world, Gabe won ABC’s primetime cooking competition series, The Taste, was named Visiting Executive Chef of Bon Appetit magazine, and reimagined The Little Beet restaurants as Director of Culinary and Innovation.

Gabe drew upon his upbringing, experience in food and CPG brand consulting background to create Plant People, alongside co-founder Hudson Gaines-Ross. Both friends discovered the healing benefits of hemp to treat their traumatic spinal injuries and were inspired to introduce effective, accessible and natural wellness solutions that support the health of people and the planet.

Sylvester McNutt III - Finding Alignment Feb 24, 2020
    Show notes

Sylvester McNutt III was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1985. Sylvester fell in love with reading books at a young age, for he would read himself to sleep as far back as he can remember.

After going through an adverse childhood, Sylvester was faced with expulsion in his sophomore year of high school. He then turned to write full-time in his notebooks and sports as his coping mechanisms to heal and process the world around him. Writing put him on the path of self-development, healing, and purpose.

Later in life, Sylvester made his first professional sale ("The Accelerated") on Amazon, independently. He was never a fan of social media but one day he uploaded an image of his writing and book, and when he picked his phone back up, it wouldn’t stop pinging. Friends and family were sending messages asking Sylvester, “Hey what book is that from, I want to buy it?” Upon realizing that there was a demand for his writing, he cultivated a plan to write every Saturday and Sunday night, no matter what. He spent weekends avoiding parties and going out, to work solely on perfecting his craft.

Finally, in February of 2015 Sylvester released a poetry book, TDQJ, and this book gave him the means to focus all of his energy into being an author. He sold 400 copies of that book in one weekend, and that is when he decided to lean all the way into being an independent author.

To date, Sylvester's most notable and bestselling works are Care Package, Lust For Life and Free Your Energy. In 2019 he released his eighth book, Free Your Energy and started the Free Your Energy podcast. Professionally he plans to author three books between 2020-2021, launch his Life-Coaching portal and create new courses for readers to transform their mindsets. As far as the books go, his ninth book, Loving Yourself Properly is almost ready for publication.

Quddus (now known as Q) is a TV host and breakthrough coach, originally from Canada. His big break came in 2001 as a host on the hit show TRL on MTV. It led Q to a nomination for “Favorite TV Personality” at the Teen Choice Awards and the cover of TV Guide.

Mini-Episode: Why Some Women Are Scared of Being Led a Man Feb 13, 2020
    Show notes

Recently I posted a quote on Instagram about how a man can lead more effectively in a relationship. For the most part it was well received but for some women this caused a bit of controversy as they didn’t like the idea of a man leading in a relationship.

I give some context for both men and women on why women are scared to let a man lead.

Mini-Episode: How To Ask For What You Need Feb 06, 2020
    Show notes

I talk a little bit about what blocks a man from getting his needs met. So many men are not taught to ask for what they want.

I also pull from Dr. Robert Glover’s book No More Mr. Nice Guy and dives into covert contracts. If you don’t know what a covert contract is or how it can affect your life you’re going to want to tune into this one.

    Show notes

This week I talk about what women desire from a man in intimacy. I often get this question from men, “what do women actually desire”. It’s often framed from the perspective of, I’d like to have more sex with my partner and I’m not sure how to engage them.

I give you one specific practice for men. Men, this episode is mostly for you. Women, listen along.
