    Mamas Talkin’ Loud

Rated one of the top 10 #mompods by Podcast Magazine: Broadway Moms, Cara Cooper and Jessica Rush have returned for season three of their hit podcast, Mamas Talkin’ Loud. Whether it’s a light-hearted chat, their series with special needs mothers (co-host Cara Cooper is one herself), or the months of content celebrating Int’l Women’s Month, Black History Month & PRIDE, many Tony winners and Broadway stars have graciously joined them ‘in the dressing room’ to share their stories. Whether discussing the motherhood journey, exploring the struggles (and joys) of being a mother in the Arts, and what can be done to make substantial changes to the industry to support parenthood across the board, these intimate and unfiltered conversations with the mamas have inspired listeners from all walks of life, building a community of support and comfort, throughout lockdown and now as we return.

During lockdown she and husband, Leslie Odom Jr., shot and executive produced ‘Love in the Time of Corona’, making sure their story was one of authenticity and relevance as people took to the streets in the biggest Black Lives Matter movement our country has seen. They did this all while keeping their love alive by allowing for the chaos but looking for the joy every day.

    Show notes

Broadway dancer turned fitness guru, Amanda Kloots has endured unspeakable loss on a very public stage. Her husband’s battle and eventual passing due to COVID-19 became a national tragedy through which people rallied and mourned the immense grief our world has faced through this pandemic. In addition to running a fitness empire, co-hosting "The Talk" and raising her adorable two year old as a single mom, she just released a memoir, along with her sister Anna Kloots, titled “Live Your Life”, her husband's original song that she made popular when people all over the world came together daily to sing it. It has since become an anthem of sorts, not only in how you face loss, but how we make the most of every moment we have.
