Our society is struggling from what Richard Louv has coined, a Nature-Deficit Disorder. Using his book, Last Child in the Woods, we explore how our society is moving more indoors and less outdoors and how this is causing a decline in our physical, mental and emotional health.
Thankfully, there are so many ways we can create a family culture that prioritizes nature.
In this episode, we explore how a disconnect with nature causes physical, emotional and mental decline, what might be stopping us from being in nature more and how we can reconnect with nature.

One of the most important things we can teach our children is that they are in charge of their bodies. Children should learn early on what body boundaries are and how to have respect for their body and someone else's.
In this episode, we unpack how many well-intentioned parents may interact with their children in ways that end up teaching our children the exact opposite.
We will explore and reframe how we handle the way we interact with our children to ensure that it is done respectfully to develop their understanding and voice in a healthy manner.

Mom life is often depicted as overwhelming, stressful, difficult and lonely. So much so, that mom loneliness is now being researched extensively.
The reason for this loneliness is that many moms do not have a village. For thousands of years, we inherited a village and were born into these communal dynamics where we were raising our children alongside other women and sharing in the day to day tasks.
This dynamic no longer exists for the modern mama. The lack of this important sisterhood breeds loneliness, stress, anxiety and depression.
Thankfully, there is a solution. We may not inherit these village anymore, but we can curate villages that fulfill our needs.
