Remembering the Days of Allah: Commemorating the Battle of Badr- Imam Yama Niazi May 28, 2021

In this podcast, Imam Yama Niazi reminds all that there are great days that remind everyone of Allah, and the day of Badr is one of those days. It is a victory of Allah. It is the first battle between truth and falsehood for Muslims. The night before the battle was to occur, the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) demonstrated his slavehood to Allah by calling out to Allah throughout the night. At the same time, calmness and tranquility overtook his companions.

All the believers should expect nothing but the good from Allah as was demonstrated on this day, explains Imam Yama. They were turning to Allah for all help and concern. All those who testify to the oneness of Allah and the finality of the Prophethood of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) up to this day have the sacrifices of the people of Badr to be thankful for, explains Imam Yama.

This class is based on some of the key works on spiritual teaching. Shaykh Faraz Rabbani opens up by explaining how one deals with the test and how the nature of this life is meant to be a test for the believers. As a means to getting closer to Allah Most High.

He explains a few of the aphorisms of one of the greatest spiritual masters in Islam, Ibn Ata’illah, In his work the Hikam. How Allah’s giving could be prevention, and how Allah’s prevention could be giving. It is all about how one turns to Allah Most High.

Shaykh Faraz expounds on how the first proper manner is to see all things are from Allah. Secondly one is to be patient, and thirdly by being content. Shaykh Faraz goes on to explain that blessings with gratitude are to share the blessing with others.
