Park It: Guardians of the Galaxy - MOW #125 Jul 12, 2016

Show notes

Jambeaux, everyone!!! Harambe! It's a Queue show featuring Park It: Guardians of the Galaxy! Welcome to another episode of the Magic Our Way podcast. We are a New Orleans based Disney fan podcast. We appreciate your listening to our show and we hope it brings a smile to your face. We also appreciate your feedback and are committed to listening to our audience.

On today's show, we have Danny, Kevin, Lee-an agent of www.magicalmomentsvacations.com, and Eli of www.ivorycomics.com. Kevin is once again away on assignment.

Welcome to the QUEUE and for this episode, the boys tackle the latest in Disney related news stories that we are interested in discussing. We discuss the following news stories on this episode.

Removal of all aligator reference in WDW
Muppets coming to Liberty Square
RUMOR: Pixar's Coco in Mexican Pavillion?!?!?!?!
Changes to Disney Dining Plan
Guardians of the Galaxy in the Parks

Based on the last news topic, we decided to exercise our creative muscle and feature a Park It segment showing how we would put Guardians of the Galaxy into the parks. The only rules that we followed are 1) it had to be a practical and 2) each one of us was assigned an attraction type.

The project has to be practical. We make Guardians of the Galaxy work in such a way that it could be considered as an option by the Walt Disney Company. This means no building of new parks or tearing down massive amounts of infrastructure and buildings; that would be downright expensive.

Our assigned attraction types are listed below.

Eli: play area/exhibit
Lee: roller coaster
Danny: 3D show or theater experience
Kevin: dark ride

Trip Report: Aaron & Danny - MOW #123B Jun 30, 2016

Show notes

On today's show, we have Danny, Kevin, Lee-an agent of www.magicalmomentsvacations.com, and Eli of www.ivorycomics.com.

Welcome to the HUB and for this episode, the boys welcome back Danny's brother-in-law, Aaron, as we discuss Danny's family trip to Walt Disney World in June of 2016. This show will arrive in two parts and, as a result, be sure to check out Trip Report: Aaron and Danny - 123A will be released earlier this week.

Aaron was around during the early days of the Magic Our Way podcast. You can find him on MOW Field Reports 1, 2, 3, & 4 (the famous Beers on the Balcony episodes) and on the very popular MOW #010: The Disney Vacation Club - The Big Picture in Decision Making.

In this Trip Report, we discuss several things regarding Aaron and Danny' trip to Walt Disney World. They dine at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs and have quite the tale to tell regarding their experience. Disney Transportation also plays a big part in their trip: a person who hasn't been there in a while experiences changes that have been in effect that still do not make sense to this day. And, there is much more.

This is a tough love episode. We care fiercely about the product that Mr. Walt Disney has produced. We are a podcast that wants both sides of the story to be presented so that you can make an educated decision. Call it yin to everyone's yang or maybe we bring balance to the force. Exercise that critical thinking muscle.

Finding Dory: A Movie Review - MOW #122 Jun 21, 2016

Show notes

Jambeaux, everyone!!! Harambe! Finding Dory! Spoiler Alert! Welcome to another episode of the Magic Our Way podcast. We are a New Orleans based Disney fan podcast. We appreciate your listening to our show and we hope it brings a smile to your face. We also appreciate your feedback and are committed to listening to our audience.

On today's show, we have Danny and Lee-an agent of www.magicalmomentsvacations.com.

Welcome to the HUB and for this episode, Danny and Lee review the movie, Finding Dory which came out in theaters in the United States of America on June 17, 2016.

Thirteen years ago on May 30, 2003, Pixar gave us a story about a father on a desperate search to find the last remaining member of his family. It took him from his home in a coral reef to the EAC (Eastern Australian Current) to a forest of jellyfish and more.

In 2016, the story is reversed. In Finding Nemo, the parent is looking for the child; in Finding Dory, the child is looking for the parent. And, as you can judge by the title, fun and adventure ensue because of the central character.

Listen to what Danny and Lee thought about this movie and be sure to contact us and let us know what you thought about it. WARNING: it is a spoiler filled episode. So, if you have not seen the movie, wait to listen to this episode until after you have seen it. If you are not bothered by spoilers, by all means, listen away.

Thank y'all very much for getting in touch with us. We really do enjoy interacting with our listeners and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Welcome to the HUB and this is part deux of our very special interview with Matt Hochberg.

Today, there are what we would call a plethora of Disney podcasts in the Disney fan universe. But, back around 2005, there were only a handful of podcasts on the air. This is a group we consider to be the 1st generation of Disney Podcasters, a generation that paved the way for all of us to be here today. We have one of those gentleman from that era on our show today. MOWicans, ladies, and gentleman, we present Matt Hochberg of WDW Today fame.

It was a sincere pleasure to have been given the opportunity to speak with him and it was awesome hearing that voice coming through our headsets while we were recording. We hope you enjoy the first half of our discussion with Matt Hochberg.

Be sure to check out the first half of our interview on MOW #118.
