    Alan Feinberg Jun 30, 2021

Welcome back to another episode of Made in Frederick. Today, we talk to certified planner and Registered Architect, Alan Feinberg. Alan Feinberg is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and a registered architect. Hehas many years of varied professional planning, design, and project management experience, including in the private, public and quasi-public sectors, and as a citizen planner. This has allowed him to view communities from many angles and understand how to work with all interests to achieve superior results that address multiple factors. A decade ago, he founded East Frederick Rising as a non-profit to help shape the over 2000-acres of prime land next to downtown Frederick, Md. With a number of other citizens, they created a vision that was accepted and endorsed by the city government. His work in Frederick and many other communities – such as with expert practitioners earlier on visions for La Plata – fostered the skills needed to work well with others to create places that are vibrant, community-driven, economically viable, and loved long after they are built. His job has been to make sure that key people are in place to make these goals a reality.

    Don Linton Mar 22, 2021

Today, I’m interviewing Mr. Don Linton, a lifelong resident of Frederick. Donald C. Linton was born on July 19, 1935, midway through the Great Depression, in the city of Frederick, Maryland. Frederick was a small farming community at that time, with a population of just over 14,000 people, surrounded by the hills, farmland and villages that defined Frederick County’s mostly rural way of life. Today, in 2018, more than 70,000 people live in Frederick, making it the state’s second largest city and one that has changed a lot over his lifetime. He has raised a family and built an accounting firm in Frederick, and participated in some of the opportunities that have transformed the this city. In 2013, he was named a Master Entrepreneur by the Entrepreneur Council. His story is also the story of a dynamic and growing Frederick.

You can read more about Don and his history in Frederick here.

This is "Made In Frederick" Mar 09, 2021

    Hi! I'm Roger Wilson.

I've lived in Frederick since 1997 with my wife, and have been raising three daughters here. Over the years I have watched our city grow, bringing both new opportunities and big challenges. I was elected as Alderman of Frederick in 2017 with a campaign focused on Seniors First initiatives, youth, sustainability, affordable housing, and transportation.

I belive that we can make lasting change in Frederick if we believe in our own power to make positive change, both as individuals, and as a community. That's what this podcast is all about: talking about real ideas with real people about moving Frederick Forward.

Join me on this journey as I talk about what makes Frederick unique with some of our community members.

This is "Made in Frederick". Let's get to work.
