MacVoices #19209: St. Clair Software's Jon Gotow on Getting Apps Ready for macOS Catalina
Jon Gotow of St. Clair Software takes a break from coding to discuss the coming transition to the 64-bit macOS Catalina, and what it means for you. What it takes to transition apps from 32-bit to 64-bit, why some apps and developers won't or can't make the transition, and what you should expect from developers are all part of our first look at this change that is going to affect everyone who uses a Mac. Jon gives us a status report on all of his apps, shares his thinking on charging for the upgrades, and offers some advice on how to communicate with those who make your mission-critical apps.
