#23: Moving away from home and creating your own living space can be a fun experience. Whether you are moving into a dorm, an apartment, or a house, it's a chance to express what you love and enjoy. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could do what we wanted without thinking of money or others' preferences? Usually, that's not the case. Often we are making these decisions with a roommate or spouse, and they have their ideas too.

How do you make a place you both love and enjoy?

Laura Williams, co-owner of Homestead Collective, joins us on this episode. She loves creating spaces which consider the needs of others. Laura knows how to intertwine design styles to make a beautiful home, without having to spend a lot of money. As a single woman, she lived with roommates in a dorm, sorority house, senior house, and loft. When she later married, she figured out ways to mix her design style with her husband's unique preferences. She is ready to share her insights to help you set up a new place with someone else!
