LAH Presents: Cinemeh! The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) Jun 06, 2026

Show notes

This week on Cinemeh, @BeepCount, Pow, Paddy, and Ed Bob head to Japan to tackle one of the most divisive entries in the Fast Saga: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

The crew discusses drifting, street racing culture, fish-out-of-water storytelling, and the introduction of one of the franchise's most beloved characters, Sung Kang as Han. They debate whether Sean is a worthy protagonist, how the film holds up nearly two decades later, and whether Tokyo Drift deserves its reputation as the black sheep of the franchise or one of its most underrated entries.

From impossible race physics to questionable high school casting decisions, the guys break down everything that makes Tokyo Drift unique.

So grab the keys, hit the apex, and join us as we decide if Tokyo Drift is Yeh, Meh, or Feh.

LAH Presents: Cinemeh! The Wolverine (2013) May 30, 2026

Show notes

This week on Cinemeh, the claws come out as @BeepCount, Pow, Mayor Matt, Paddy, and Ed Bob dive into The Wolverine.

The crew discusses Hugh Jackman’s darker, more grounded take on Wolverine, the film’s trip to Japan, mutant politics, ninja fights, healing powers, and one extremely questionable third act. Along the way, they debate whether this movie deserved more love, where it ranks among the X-Men films, and if Logan is at his best when he’s slicing through bad guys or battling emotional trauma.

There’s also plenty of discussion about comic book movie fatigue before it was even a thing, bizarre villain reveals, and whether this movie could’ve been truly great if it stuck the landing.

So sharpen the adamantium claws and join us as we decide if The Wolverine is actually worth it.

LAH Presents: Cinemeh! Con Air (1997) May 23, 2026

Show notes

This week on Cinemeh, the crew boards the jailbird flight from hell with the 1997 action classic Con Air. @BeepCount, Pow, Ed Bob, and Paddy break down Nicolas Cage’s southern drawl, an all-time unhinged cast of criminals, exploding airplanes, questionable accents, and why this movie somehow balances chaos and patriotism perfectly.

The guys discuss what still works, what absolutely does not, and whether Con Air earns its place as a “so bad it rules” action masterpiece. From Cyrus the Virus to “Put the bunny back in the box,” nothing is safe from the Cinemeh treatment.

Is Con Air actually a good movie… or are we all just victims of 90s nostalgia?

Buckle up.
