Cindy Baker is a wonderful friend, a tremendous encourager, a prolific author, an eager missionary, a supportive wife, loving mother, and most of all, a faithful servant of God. We are so excited that she agreed to join us to talk about her interesting life! She and her husband, Aaron, spent seven years living as missionaries in the Vanuatu Islands with their young daughters, but it wasn't an easy decision, nor an easy journey. She explains how she learned to overcome her fears and doubts, and grew to love their home and the people of Vanuatu. She also talks about her books, her love of writing, and her life in ministry alongside her husband. We hope you'll enjoy listening to Cindy as much as we did!

We read the "Beatitudes" in Matthew 5, where Jesus taught the crowds how they could be blessed by putting some attitudes and actions into practice that probably feel unnatural to the world. And being "blessed" isn't simply about happiness, but a quiet peace and joy - despite the circumstances we may be in - because of our relationship with the Lord. This week, we are talking about eight different ways women can be blessed, and some of them may feel unnatural, but we will be blessed in this life AND in the next if we put them into practice.
