NOT CLUTCH: Chicago White Sox offense FAILS with runners in scoring position, bullpen COLLAPSES Apr 27, 2026

Show notes

The Chicago White Sox stumble at home as clutch hitting and bullpen woes stall their rebuild. Can the South Siders fix their problems with runners in scoring position and high-leverage relief, or will the road to 70+ wins slip further out of reach?

Host Todd Welter spotlights the White Sox’s inability to deliver with runners in scoring position and their ongoing struggles to win at Rate Field. Pressing questions surround Colson Montgomery's strikeout surge, bullpen arms Jordan Leasure and Seranthony Domínguez underperforming in high-leverage moments, and whether recent roster moves—like designating Reese McGuire for assignment and choosing Drew Romo—were the right calls. The discussion also covers GM Chris Getz’s strategy for top prospect Braden Montgomery and why a promotion to Triple-A Charlotte, not Chicago, should come next. With prospects like Caleb Bonemer and Billy Carlson making noise in the minors, the path to revitalizing this White Sox lineup remains full of uncertainty.

Can the White Sox finally capitalize on talent and home field advantage, or will these persistent issues derail their 2026 momentum?
