Suns finish 8-0 with blowout win over Dallas, but their season is over in heartbreaking fashion Aug 14, 2020

Show notes

On today's episode, Evan is joined by Brandon (@AZSportsZone) to react to an eventual final day of Phoenix Suns basketball.

Even though Phoenix defeated Dallas 128-102 to go 8-0 inside the Orlando bubble, they unfortunately will not make the play-in game for a playoff opportunity. Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers upended the Brooklyn Nets 134-133, plus the Bucks' reserves lost earlier in the day to Memphis.

We react to all the chaos, then dive into arguably the Suns' best game of the bubble. In dominant fashion, Phoenix controlled Dallas throughout. Devin Booker, Dario Saric, Cameron Payne, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and Jevon Carter all deserved shoutouts in this one.

Closing out the show, we look ahead to the first offseason mark for Phoenix. The 2020 NBA Draft Lottery is exactly one week away.

Buckle up, Suns fans, and this momentum will hopefully carry over into the 2020-21 season for basketball in the Valley.

Suns continue miracle bubble run winning by double-digits over Pacers, 114-99 Aug 07, 2020

Show notes

On today's episode, Evan and Brandon (@AZSportsZone) recap the Suns' 114-99 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

In a game filled with runs, which included a 17-0 and 21-0 run by Phoenix at two separate points, the Suns finished on top comfortably at the end. Thanks to great outings from Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker, Phoenix is halfway through the bubble regular season undefeated.

However, Phoenix doesn't win this game without Cam Payne and Dario Saric. They were the ones who ignited Phoenix to their crucial run in the third quarter, which propelled the momentum back after Booker went into huge foul trouble.

Don't forget about Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges either. Both of these young wings did their part today, including Johnson being an insane plus-36 in the plus-minus category. Are these two the future in the frontcourt alongside Ayton?

Closing out the show, we go over some key stats and reminisce on how crazy this run has been for Phoenix thus far.
