A theory on Tom Izzo still not announcing an assistant, favorite football offseason moments and more Jun 01, 2022

Show notes

Connor Muldowney of SpartanAvenue.com drops by the show to talk about the news of the day for MSU, which is Bryce Baringer being atop of Mel Kiper's draft board amongst punters and kickers. They also banter about the lack of announcement from MSU basketball about that third assistant coach, but now Matt is hatching a theory that he's maybe serious about.

Then it's time to banter about the best parts of the college football offseason, from bowl projections to black uniforms. We also end with another round of Start One, Bench One, Cut One, which includes debating if Graham Couch is a premier starting shooting guard or not.

Defending Mel Tucker's extension and Tom Izzo's slow assistant coach hiring process May 31, 2022

Show notes

The Athletic asked anonymous college football agents about happening around the game, and Mel Tucker's massive extension was directly put into question. What did the agents say, and why are they off-based with their comments?

And then we check in on Michigan State basketball and the lack of news coming out of the program that's had its third assistant coaching role vacant for nearly two months. Why aren't we worried about that, and is the end of this saga near?

And last but not least, Matt is put on a hypothetical boat with Mel Tucker, Tom Izzo and Draymond Green. Yep.

Show notes

BetOnline.net unveiled their college football win totals for the season, and we take a look on if 7.5 wins is a great over bet or an under bet worth considering. The second segment is a grab bag of sorts, ranging from Tom Izzo, Mel Tucker and Alan Haller speaking at the Detroit Economic Club to who are the candidates on the short list for MSU basketball's assistant coaching vacancy.

And to end the show...TRIVIA TUESDAY!
