Show notes
The New York Knicks pulled off an epic Game 1 comeback in the Eastern Conference Finals, erasing a 22-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in overtime. Wes Goldberg, Matt Moore and Haize break down Jalen Brunson’s 38-point performance, Cleveland’s late-game collapse, Kenny Atkinson’s timeout management and whether the Knicks won the game or the Cavs gave it away.
Then, the Dallas Mavericks officially turn the page by parting ways with Jason Kidd after five seasons, shortly after hiring Masai Ujiri as team president. What kind of coach should Dallas target next? What does Cooper Flagg need around him? And could Kyrie Irving draw trade interest this offseason?
Plus, the crew takes stock of a wild 48 hours of conference finals basketball with big-picture takeaways on Knicks-Cavs, Spurs-Thunder, the NBA’s future, James Harden’s role and which team faces more pressure in Game 2: the Thunder or the Cavaliers.
