In this episode of the Locked On NBA Big Board podcast, Rafael and James Barlowe share their thoughts on three prospects who are rising up draft boards with their strong play over the last few weeks.
2:17 Northern Colorado’s Saint Thomas, Kansas’ Johnny Furphy and Florida State’s Jamir Watkins are turning heads in NBA circles and have jumped on NBA radars as potential draft picks in June.
Thomas is currently averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds and has dominated the Big Sky conference weekly awards, but winning player of the week six times in 12 weeks.
12:12 Furphy is gone from seldom used rotation player to arguably Kansas’ best NBA prospects over the last few weeks. His shooting, athleticism and rebounding have turned heads and there are whispers about Furphy being selected in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft.
19:48 Watkins is having a breakout season at Florida State, leading the Seminoles in scoring, rebounding and assists. Rafael goes into detail why one NBA scouts ranked him as a Top 15 prospect in a wide open NBA draft.
