Show notes
The Dallas Mavericks are facing serious questions heading into NBA free agency after a concerning injury update on Dereck Lively II that could reshape the team's entire offseason strategy. With Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving as the cornerstones of the Mavs' rebuild, Masai Ujiri and GM Mike Schmitz must now evaluate every option at center and in the backcourt as the NBA offseason heats up.
Nick Angstadt (@NickVanExit) & Slightly Biased (Slightly Biased) break down what Dereck Lively II's slow recovery — he is not yet running or jumping with just three months until training camp — means for the Dallas Mavericks' starting lineup and roster construction. Nick is joined by co-host Isaac Harris to evaluate dream and realistic guard targets for the Mavs, including Cason Wallace, Anfernee Simons, Colin Sexton, Malik Monk, Zach LaVine, and Vít Krejčí, as well as potential trade scenarios involving the Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento Kings, and Portland Trail Blazers. Morez Johnson Jr.'s role as a potential stopgap at center is also discussed, along with what the Mavs need offensively to avoid a repeat of last season's unwatchable offense.
