Show notes
Cleveland Guardians frustrated fans with inconsistent weekend, and salvaging a big offensive performance against the surging Kansas City Royals and clinging to a Wild Card spot. This episode looks at Sunday's highlights as well as missed opportunities, Colin Holderman's struggles, and a controversial pinch-hitting decision. Justin Lada and Jeff Ellis dissect standout performances from Parker Messick and Chase DeLauter, highlight Travis Bazzana’s on-field struggles, and break down the American League Rookie of the Year race between Messick, DeLauter, McGonigle, and Murakami. We also get into September call-ups, and Chris Antonetti’s comments on roster construction. Are the Guardians reverting to old habits, or simply hitting a minor slump before a critical series with the Toronto Blue Jays?
