The Difficult Yadi Conversation Dec 11, 2020

Show notes

It's been reported that the Cardinals and Yadier Molina are no where close on a contract as both sides look to come back together for 2021. This has sparked a heated discussion among the St. Louis Cardinals' fans, and Lucas gives his take on today's show. It is not as cut and dry as some make it seem, as the stats and intangible factors must both be taken into account. Also, the blame game needs to stop being played: both sides need to come together to figure it out. A question Lucas has is, is it worth it to bring these two back at the expense of not improving the offense?

Sean Sears Talks Schwarber, Theo and Len Dec 08, 2020

Show notes

Sean Sears of Locked On Cubs joins the show as Lucas continues to break down the non-tendered FA market. Kyle Schwarber is on the open market and is available for teams to sign, and he could be a cheaper option for the Cardinals to go after. While he would be more attractive to St. Louis as a DH, Sean still thinks Schwarber could be a big boost in the lineup. Lucas and Sean also discuss Theo Epstein's departure, and they reminisce over long-time broadcaster Len Casper leaving to the White Sox Radio Booth.

Why Eddie Rosario is a Fit in STL Dec 07, 2020

Show notes

The non-tender deadline has come and gone, which means there are new FA targets for the Cardinals to think about. One of those targets is former Minnesota Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario. Lucas looks at why he would be a great fit for the Cardinals to go after. Rosario would provide good power from the left side and be a large upgrade from those who played left field last year. He might cost more than some like, but the Cardinals need to spend money on the outfield.

If No Yadi, Cards Should Go After McCann Dec 01, 2020
