The guys discuss Jim Boylen's odd tactic of calling out names of players on the Wizards shooting threes to start the second half. Show notes

Locked On Bulls is back with a fresh episode, the guys preview tonight's matchup against the Washington Wizards, focus their attention on the return of Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis for the second time since being traded, and take Bulls fans texts, voicemails, and tweets in their weekly Bulls mailbag in the second half of the show.

Jordan and Matt highlight some of the most interesting quotes from the article and talk about both Parker and Portis' play since being traded at the deadline. What do the guys think Parker and Portis will command in free agency this summer? Do Parker's quotes seem to justify his time with the Bulls? The guys highlight Portis and Parker's recent offensive success with the Wizards and how that might help their free agent stock heading into the summer.

Locked On Bulls spends the rest of the episode taking Bulls fans questions and comments on their weekly segment of Bulls Mailbag. The guys start with a question about NBA prospect Coby White from UNC and whether or not he is the second-best point guard in this year's draft. Jordan and Matt debate his game over Vanderbilt's Darius Garland's potential and whether the Bulls would reach or trade down to draft a point guard if they fall out of the top three picks.

The guys wrap up taking voicemails and questions surrounding Duke's Zion Williamson. One caller believes that the fix might be in for Zion to New York, are the guys buying it? Locked On Bulls discusses how Zion Williamson would impact all five of the NBA teams at the bottom of the NBA from a marketing standpoint. The guys also take a question about some concern about Zion's build and whether or not he will be able to sustain a healthy career. All this and so much more on Locked On Bulls.

LOCKED ON BULLS, 3/19/2019 - Meaningless Suns Win & Reverting Back to Old Ways Mar 19, 2019
    Show notes

Locked On Bulls is back with a fresh episode, the guys try and explain the Bulls win from last night against the Phoenix Suns. The guys talk about how the Bulls had an opportunity to climb into the top three in the lottery standings with Cleveland beating Detroit, Jim Boylen starting to revert back to old ways, Boylen's timeouts at the end of the game, and why all of a sudden the offense is centered around Robin Lopez.

The guys open the show discussing how the impossible become possible last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off an upset win over the Detroit Pistons leaving a window of opportunity for the Bulls to pull within a half-game of the top three in the lottery. The guys discuss how the Suns decided to sit four rotation players (Holmes, Johnson, Oubre, Warren) while the Bulls sat one (Otto Porter Jr.) and pulled out one the most meaningless win of the season, ultimately locking them up for the fourth overall lottery position.

Jordan delivers his frustration about how the Bulls play is beginning to revert back to the way it was when head coach Jim Boylen first took over the team in December. The guys discuss how the offense was lead by Robin Lopez's 27 points last night and the win wasn't even carried by the young players for 'development'. Locked On Bulls describes their frustration about the night and day difference from February to March and their growing concerns with the 'do it our way' mentality.

The guys also discuss Jim Boylen's need to call a timeout under a minute left, how it has left Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov irate after the game, and why it only adds to the Bulls perception around the league as the season wraps up. Does Boylen care what other coaches think? Why does he do these types of things and does he see this as disrespect? All of this and so much more on Locked On Bulls.

    LOCKED ON BULLS, 3/13/2019 - Bulls-Lakers recap & 100 days of Jim Boylen Mar 13, 2019
    Show notes

Locked On Bulls is back with a fresh episode and Jordan Maly goes solo to recap last night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, 123-107. Jordan talks about the Bulls collapse during the second and third quarters that sparked a comeback for the Lakers down 20-points, LeBron James takeover, continuing problems with the defense, Lauri Markkanen's struggles in the month of March, and today's marker of 100 days as head coach for Jim Boylen.

What started out as really good first quarter for the Chicago Bulls quickly went south as the Lakers climbed back from down as many as 20-points to secure a win last night. Jordan takes a look at how LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma were able to lead the Lakers surge through the second and third quarters and why the Bulls were historically bad again last night. Jordan discusses the lack of depth on the bench as a reason for the recent blown leads, how the starters are unable to play all 48-minutes, the lack of awareness on the defensive side of the ball, and the struggles from other primary scorers in the absence of Zach LaVine.

Jordan hits on some positives from this game as well including one of the best games from Kris Dunn in over two months. Jordan talks about Otto Porter Jr.'s ability to space the floor, get out and run in transition, and also the ability to throw lob passes. Jordan questions whether or not Jim Boylen will be able to make adjustments to staggering his starters to combat the Bulls bench giving up leads early on and how the team can prevent third quarter turmoil. Jordan also discusses a bizarre Wayne Selden Jr. ejection that occurred.

To wrap up the show, today marks 100 days as head coach of the Chicago Bulls for Jim Boylen. Jordan splits the 45 games into two parts and looks at how the Bulls have played. Has Boylen improved since taking over back in December? Has Boylen been able to live up to what he wanted to see improved since he was given the job? How are Bulls fans feeling about Jim Boylen with only a few weeks left in the season? Jordan dives into the team stats in both stretches, talks about what it might mean for the offseason, some positives, some negatives, some concerns, and what the future might hold for Boylen and the Bulls. LOCKED ON BULLS, 3/11/2019 - Bulls check engine light on after Pistons sweep weekend series Mar 11, 2019
    Show notes

Locked On Bulls is back from the weekend and the guys recap what seemed like the tale of two halves for the Bulls in both losses to the Detroit Pistons this weekend. The guys talk about some of the Bulls biggest mistakes in the third and fourth quarter of both games, Otto Porter's red hot Friday night, the Bulls bench (or lack thereof), and a conversation about Kris Dunn's performance over the last 15 games.

The guys start with how well the Bulls played in the first half of Friday night's game. The guys recall Otto Porter Jr.'s incredible second quarter which pushed the Bulls lead to as big as 21 points. The guys describe how well Porter and Markkanen are going to play off each other and all the things that Porter does well beyond just scoring. The guys talk about the lack of adjustments made in the second half, why the Pistons were able to make a run in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter, and how the Bulls were unable to dominate in the paint in the second half.

The guys talk about the glaring issue that the Bulls are facing against some of the better teams and it comes with their bench. The guys talk about how they saw another case on Friday and Sunday where the Pistons bench outscored the Bulls and played a key role in letting Detroit pull away in critical moments that didn't allow the starters to catch up. The guys talk about Langston Galloway and Luke Kennard contributing as huge factors for the Pistons while Wayne Selden Jr. had to play 5 v. 1 defense for the Bulls bench. How can Jim Boylen find a way to stagger his minutes better so that he doesn't find himself in situations like he did Friday night?

The guys wrap up the show talking about Kris Dunn and the performances he had this weekend. It leads to a larger conversation about him over the last 15 games and if he's improved at all? The guys wonder why his numbers looked rather pedestrian this weekend and even on Sunday in the absence of Zach LaVine. Jordan and Matt take a look at Dunn's stats and you might just be surprised in some of the areas he has improved at and some of the others he has dropped off in. Where do Bulls fans sit with Kris Dunn's future? Do Bulls fans still hold the same expectation level for Kris Dunn as the other core members of the rebuild or have they adjusted it since his return from injury? All of this and so much more on Locked On Bulls.
