The Jacksonville Jaguars, in their search to replace Urban Meyer, have reached out to the Buccaneers for permission to speak with both offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles about the vacancy. Leftwich has obvious connections to the team as he was their first round pick and quarterback for many years while Bowles is looking for an opportunity to redeem himself from his stint as head coach of the New York Jets. That said, would either one be interested in joining one of the most dysfunctional organizations in the league?
Bruce Arians announced he tested positive for Covid and will not be at the game Sunday against the Jets. Joining Arians as well as Mike Evans are cornerbacks Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting who each tested positive. Who is going to step in to replace them? Or will they actually be able to play thanks to the NFL's new protocols announced on Tuesday.
Finally, we step away from the world of Buccaneers football to remember a legend. John Madden, a legend in the world of football, passed away on Tuesday morning. Some know him as a coach, some a broadcaster, some as a guy that the video game is named after. Regardless, we take time to honor who John Madden was and what he meant to so many.
