Is QB devleopment the strength of Luke Fickell's coaching staff and what spots still need to be filled ? Plus 5 big things with the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program Dec 13, 2022

Show notes

Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell's staff continues to come together, we discuss the additions of two coaches with a strong track record for developing QBs and why that is such a departure with how Paul Chryst had structured his previous staffs. We talk about Markus Allen and Michael Furtney taking their names out of the transfer portal and why that can be looked at as a sign of confidence for Fickell's staff.

We discuss what still needs to be done with the Badgers coaching staff and why they will have to sacrifice somewhere. Would you rather have a CBs coach or a special teams coach ? Is there a spot for Bobby April on this staff ? We also discuss the importance of seeing two PWOs commit to Wisconsin since Luke Fickell took over the head coaching role and why I think that matters.

Finally on Locked On Badgers we talk about five big basketball thoughts that I have. Why I want to see more Khamari McGee, why Stephen Crowl is who he is and we should embrace that and what Greg Gard is doing really well with his freshman star shooting guard.

Jacolby Criswell is a major QB target in the transfer portal and he's visiting the Wisconsin Badgers Dec 09, 2022

Show notes

We talk about potential transfer portal target Jacolby Criswell - who had previously been at North Carolina. With the news that former UNC OC Phil Longo is headed to Madison, the Badgers are an obvious choice for Criswell a former 4 star quarterback. Criswell, a true dual-threat QB will be headed to Wisconsin to check out the program. We discuss his game and why it makes so much sense.

We also talk more about the hire of Phil Longo, why we like his offense and why we think it still makes sense for Wisconsin to change what they have been doing for a long time on the offensive side of the ball. Will his high-flying offense work in Madison when it gets cold ? Will they be able to recruit to fit this new offense.

We also take some user comments, will Wisconsin's easy schedule next year help lure transfer players to Wisconsin ? Will Braelon Allen have more running room in the offense next year with more spread concepts.

The transfer portal has opened up and the Wisconsin Badgers football team has already lost some players Dec 06, 2022

Show notes

The college football transfer portal has begun and the Wisconsin Badgers have lost a couple players -- but most noticeably nothing that seems like a devastating move. We talk about all the players that have left and pretty quickly realize none of them outside Graham Mertz likely had a huge role on next year's team.

We discuss the latest rumors on Jim Leonhard and why there needs to be a sense of urgency for Luke Fickell and he continues to work through his first week on the job. With the transfer portal open and early signing day coming up, Wisconsin needs to move quickly to stabilize the '23 class and stem the bleeding from the transfer portal.

We also talk about your reactions to the Graham Mertz show - the fan base is pretty split on where the blame lies but most agree it was time to move on for both Graham Mertz and the Wisconsin Badgers.
