Auburn Tigers quarterback Byrum Brown could be this season’s surprise Heisman Trophy contender. With a dynamic offense helmed by head coach Alex Golesh and a core group of transfers from South Florida, Auburn’s new-look attack has analysts buzzing—will Brown’s arm and leadership propel the Tigers back to national relevance?
Zac Blackerby and Ben Taylor break down Auburn’s Heisman odds, FanDuel’s latest predictions, and what it will take for Brown to shine on the national stage. The conversation covers key matchups against Baylor, Florida, LSU, and Vanderbilt, roster depth at skill positions, and how Auburn’s high-profile schedule boosts Brown’s campaign. Plus, the impact of SEC exposure, Golesh’s proven system, and what Brown must do statistically and in signature “Heisman moments” to clinch a spot in New York. Does Auburn have college football’s dark horse for 2026?
