Show notes
Houston Astros fans see a glimmer of hope as Tatsuya Imai sharpens his command, offering a potential solution for a battered rotation. Could Imai’s progress stabilize Houston’s pitching woes just as the roster reels from injuries and rain delays? Eric Huysman and Brett Chancey break down Imai’s improved outing—zero walks, enhanced secondary pitches, and a promising strikeout-to-walk ratio—despite surrendering two home runs to Josh Bell.
Key topics include recent roster moves with Jeremy Peña’s return, Jose Altuve’s oblique strain, and Jake Myers’ anticipated comeback. The hosts spotlight offensive struggles, especially with bases loaded, debate bullpen logistics, and discuss the six-man rotation. As the Astros aim to regain their offensive spark amid a critical road trip, can small victories like Imai’s growth signal a turning point? Plus, enjoy a fun Astros trivia segment to test your Houston baseball knowledge.
