23 Years Younger? The Longevity Secrets That Could Change How You Age with Valérie Orsoni Sep 30, 2026
    Show notes

What if some of the things we’ve been told are simply part of aging aren’t as irreversible as we think?

On this episode of the Light Up Your Life Podcast, Samantha Peters sits down with Valérie Orsoni, biohacker, longevity expert, entrepreneur, and author of 56 books, for a fascinating conversation about what may actually move the needle when it comes to living longer, stronger, and healthier.

Valérie has been tracking and experimenting with her own biology since 1998. Her approach to longevity is personal and data-driven: test, take action, adjust, and retest. She shares measurable changes she says she has experienced in her own bone density, vision, lung health, inflammation, and biological-age markers, and the habits and protocols she associates with those changes.

Rather than focusing only on expensive biohacking technology, Valérie explains why some of the most powerful longevity practices can also be some of the simplest: consistent sleep, morning daylight, strength training, movement, nutrition, stress management, social connection, and joy.
We also dive into epigenetics, inflammation, supplements, fasting, red light therapy, women’s muscle and bone health, and why optimizing your health starts with getting the fundamentals right.

    In This Episode
    You’ll discover:
    - What Valérie means by “reversing the irreversible”
    - Why she believes it’s never too late to improve your health
    - The difference between lifespan and healthspan
    - The measurable changes she has seen in her bone density, vision, and lung health
    - Why testing and tracking biomarkers are central to her approach
    - The five pillars of epigenetics: nutrition, fitness, stress management, sleep, and social interaction
    - Why consistent sleep and morning daylight can be powerful—and free—longevity tools
    - The importance of strength training, especially for women over 40
    - How inflammation and nutrition may influence the way we age
    - Valérie’s approach to supplements, including collagen, creatine, glycine, magnesium, and NADH
    - Her thoughts on intermittent fasting and why she cautions against extreme fasting protocols
    - Why joy, relationships, and mindset belong in the longevity conversation
    - Why foundational habits should come before advanced biohacking

    Memorable Quotes
“It is never too late, ever.”

“You can’t out supplement... bad sleep, bad nutrition, bad stress management.”

“As a woman you need the muscles.”

    $88 Million a Year, 22 McDonald’s & the Truth About Success with Mark Parrish Sep 23, 2026
    Show notes

What if the systems that build a successful business could also help you build a stronger life and family?

In this episode of the Light Up Your Life Podcast, Samantha Peters sits down with Mark Parrish, entrepreneur, U.S. Army veteran, commercial pilot, bestselling author, and McDonald’s Owner-Operator overseeing 22 locations.

Mark shares how a two-year Christian mission in Brazil, military service in Ramadi, Iraq, and a lifelong commitment to reading, discipline, accountability, and measurement shaped the man, father, and leader he is today.

Mark takes us inside his evolution from micromanaging his first restaurant to leading through vision, systems, measurable expectations, and accountability. He also shares how many of those same leadership principles show up inside his home—from vision boards and reading to sports, chores, goal setting, and intentional time with his children.

We dive into why accountability beats charisma, why progress matters more than perfection, and why achieving more means very little if success comes at the expense of your family, integrity, or joy.

Mark also explains why success can expose weak foundations, how caring for your mind, body, and spirit keeps you grounded, and why measuring your progress can completely change the trajectory of your life.

Whether you're building a business, leading a team, raising a family, or simply trying to become a better version of yourself, this conversation is a reminder that the life you create tomorrow is built through the choices and disciplines you practice today.

In this episode, you'll hear about:

The experience in Brazil that changed Mark’s approach to goals, relationships, and personal growth
How serving in Ramadi, Iraq shaped his discipline, purpose, and appreciation for freedom
Why different results require different daily habits
Mark’s personal non-negotiables, including consistent sleep and daily reading
How he develops leaders through reading, expectations, and measurement
His transition from micromanager to vision-driven leader
    Why accountability beats charisma
How he uses regular check-ins and “report cards” in both business and family life
Why resistance is part of growth and how to keep going anyway
    Balancing ambition with gratitude
Why success can expose weaknesses in your foundation
    Mark’s philosophy of “home-led, community-supported”
    Why progress over perfection matters
    How measurement creates improvement
Building a legacy that lasts beyond you
    A few powerful takeaways:

“There is no amount of success outside of the home that can compensate for failure inside the home.”

“When performance is measured, performance is improved.”

The Science of Wishing: How to Train Your Brain to Get What You Want with Brownell Landrum Sep 16, 2026
    Show notes

What if wishing wasn’t just about birthday candles, shooting stars, or hoping something magically happens? What if there was actually science behind the way we wish and a way to make our wishes more powerful?

In this episode of Light Up Your Life, Samantha Peters sits down with Brownell Landrum, TEDx speaker, author of The Art and Science of Wishing, host of the Cosmic Wishes Show, and founder of The Cosmic Wish Experiment, a global grassroots effort centered around collective wishing.

Brownell shares how a late-night lecture on neuroplasticity sparked her curiosity about the science behind wishing and ultimately led her to research the work of more than 90 scientists. Together, Samantha and Brownell explore how wishing sits somewhere between a goal and a prayer, combining intention and personal action with an openness to possibilities outside of our control.

They dive into neuroscience, subconscious programming, visualization, repetition, ritual, and the reticular activating system, exploring how what we repeatedly focus on can train our brains to recognize people, ideas, and opportunities connected to what we desire.

They also discuss where wishing overlaps with manifestation—and where it differs. Brownell challenges the idea that if you don't receive exactly what you asked for, you've somehow failed. Instead, she introduces four possible responses to a wish: yes, no, not yet, or something better—and explains how a “no” can sometimes become an invitation to make an expansive pivot toward an outcome you never considered.

The conversation also explores subconscious resistance, worthiness, the power of language, the default mode network and creative problem solving, and why over visualizing an outcome can sometimes work against us.

Brownell leaves listeners with her three P's for more intentional wishing: peaceful, positive, and purposeful and a reminder that our most powerful wishes aren't necessarily about what we want, but about what holds deeper meaning and purpose in our lives.

    In This Episode, You'll Discover:

    • How wishing differs from goals, prayer, and manifestation
    • The neuroscience behind repetition and focused intention
    • How the reticular activating system influences what you notice
    • Why rituals can make wishes more meaningful and memorable
    • How subconscious beliefs can support or sabotage what you're working toward
    • Why your best ideas may appear in the shower, on a walk, or during exercise
    • The role of action in turning wishes into reality
    • Why “no” isn't necessarily an ending, it's information
    • What Brownell calls the expansive pivot
    • Why toxic positivity can become problematic in manifestation
    • Brownell's three P's: peaceful, positive, and purposeful
    • How collective wishing could help create positive change in the world

    Memorable Moments

“A wish is somewhere beautifully in between.”

“No isn't necessarily an ending, it's just information.”

“The more we can bring back these collective wishing rituals, the more we can change the world together.”

If you've ever wondered whether there's more to wishing, manifestation, visualization, and intention than simply thinking positively, this conversation will give you a completely different perspective on what it means to make a wish and what you can do after you make one.

The Power of Podcast Guesting: Building Visibility, Trust & Revenue with Gabrielle Scout Sep 02, 2026
    Show notes

What if one podcast interview could lead to your next client, book sale, collaboration, speaking opportunity or even a six-figure business relationship?

In this episode of the Light Up Your Life Podcast, Samantha Peters sits down with Gabrielle Scout, editor, strategist, and founder of Scout’s Agency, a leading podcast visibility firm that has booked nearly 6,000 podcast interviews and executed more than 400 Podcast Tours for founders, authors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.

As a pioneer of the Podcast Tour model, Gabrielle recognized the power of podcast guesting as a visibility and relationship-building strategy long before it became a mainstream PR tactic. Her clients have generated extraordinary results, including 150 high-ticket inquiries from a single interview, 7,000 books sold in one month, and 100% quarter-over-quarter revenue growth.

Gabrielle is also the Editor-in-Chief of REVUE and host of PODCAST by SCOUT, with her work featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Business of Fashion.

Samantha and Gabrielle unpack why podcasting can create something that short-form social media often can't: long-form trust, authentic connection, and relationships that continue creating opportunities long after an episode goes live.

Gabrielle reveals what separates simply being a podcast guest from strategically turning podcast appearances into business growth. She shares why the biggest podcast isn't always the best podcast, how to pitch hosts without sounding transactional, and how entrepreneurs can turn a single conversation into an entire ecosystem of content, connections, referrals, and opportunities.

You'll also hear the incredible story of how one podcast connection with Ali Webb, founder of Drybar, evolved into an invitation to co-host an event and ultimately a client relationship.

    In This Episode, You'll Discover:

How Gabrielle accidentally discovered podcast guesting as a powerful PR strategy
How Scout’s Agency grew from cold pitching 1,000 women to booking nearly 6,000 podcast interviews
Why audience alignment matters more than chasing the biggest shows
What makes a podcast guest memorable—and what actually drives ROI
Why the best guests continue supporting the host before and after recording
How one highly aligned podcast appearance generated $100K in client contracts
How podcasting helped support a successful book launch with only 2,500 Instagram followers
Why follower count doesn't determine your access, credibility, or potential impact
How to write cold pitches that feel human, specific, and easy to act on
Why rejection and low response rates are simply part of successful outreach
How to transform one podcast appearance into weeks of valuable content
Why relationships, not vanity metrics can become your greatest business asset
The habits Gabrielle sees consistently in her most successful clients
Gabrielle's upcoming podcast guesting operating system, including a custom podcast list, pitch template, and group coaching.

    Favorite Takeaways

"The currency of podcasting is humanness, not vanity metrics."

"We are business owners, we're not content creators."

"Getting in the room, you are qualified as long as you decide that you're gonna go get in the room."

From wills and trusts to life insurance, probate, prenups, and financial literacy, Jessica shares practical ways to protect yourself, your family, and the wealth you’re working so hard to build. She also opens up about her personal journey from becoming a single mother at 18 to building a successful legal career spanning more than two decades, and how those experiences shaped her passion for helping families protect what matters most. In This Episode, You’ll Learn: Why estate planning should begin as early as age 18 and the foundational documents every adult should consider, including powers of attorney and healthcare directives. The difference between a will and a trust, and when a trust may make sense for families with children, blended families, multiple properties, or assets in different states. What probate actually is, why it can become time-consuming and expensive, and how proper planning may simplify the process for your loved ones. What can happen when someone dies without a will or trust and how state intestacy laws determine who inherits their assets. How life insurance can provide important financial protection for spouses, children, and families after an unexpected loss. Why building wealth is only half the equation—and why protecting and transferring wealth deserves just as much attention. The role financial literacy plays in creating lasting generational wealth and why earning or inheriting money doesn’t automatically mean you’ll keep it. Jessica’s perspective on wealth-building vehicles such as real estate, precious metals, businesses, LLCs, and selective investments. How Jessica’s book, Wealth, Wills, and Winning, combines her personal story with lessons on building, protecting, and ultimately transferring wealth.
