Life’s a Fight — Health
Life’s a Fight

Life’s a Fight is a metaphor for life. It’s a mindset and philosophy that shapes how you approach the challenges in front of you.

This is a low-key, down-to-earth podcast about the ups and downs of life. We’re talking everyday challenges and the big ones, too.

Using my life and experiences as the backbone—Spanish teacher turned UFC fighter, now a professional speaker with a wife and kids—you’ll hear stories, lessons and strategies to help you keep going when you don’t think you can.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and could use some help fighting your fight, this is for you.

Hosted by former UFC fighter and teacher Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman.

This is another great book from Brad Meltzer's "Ordinary People Change the World Series. This is a story about humanity and bringing people together. It "inspires kids to dream big, one great role model at a time." (It also inspires us adults to do the same).

Show notes

The growing network of Spaniard contacts led to Dr. Jim Rentz, Sr., a retired marriage & family therapist inspired to help work toward peace after serving as a U.S. Army Chaplain during the Vietnam War. Perhaps destiny led here as well, since Jim is a stroke survivor, because this talk happened 9 years to the day after Spanny's own stroke. Jim discusses the turmoil that led him and his wife to adopt a Vietnamese orphan … surviving bitterness as a scorned veteran … appreciating the resilience of his father after tuberculosis … and more.
