As we close out this year, we wanted to recap what it means to take care of ourselves for 2021. We've looked at taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. Today's episode is what it looks like to take care of ourselves emotionally.

1. Be ok when others don't feel what you feel. No one has to subscribe to your emotional state.

2. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Mourn with those who mourn. You don't have to pick one permanently.

3. Tracking our emotions by journaling allows us to revisit how we're feeling after situations have transpired and we've had time to process them. We can learn a lot from our past.

4. Don't waste emotionally energy trying to fix other people.
