Why making friends after 60 is so hard (And what to do about i!) Feb 28, 2026
    Show notes

At 5 years old, everyone is your friend.
At 60? It’s… different. Why does it feel harder to build friendships later in life — and what can we do about it? Today I’m sharing:

    • The emotional shift that happens after retirement
    • Why waiting for someone to knock on your door doesn’t work
    • Where to meet like-minded people
    • Simple conversation tricks to break the ice
    • The “3 Question” strategy I use
    Because when you retire...
    You plan for the money.
    You plan for the freedom.
But no one really prepares you for the loneliness.
If you're nearing 60, retired — or about to be — this conversation matters. 💬 Tell me in the comments: Has making friends in retirement been easy or hard for you?

7 Habits of the quietly WEALTHY in retirement! Jan 17, 2026
    Show notes

Quiet wealth isn’t about luxury cars, big houses, or showing off. Especially in RETIREMENT!
It’s about peace, intention, and knowing when you already have enough. In this video, I share the habits of the quietly wealthy — people who live well, plan wisely, and don’t let money control their lives. These are not flashy habits, and they rarely make headlines, but they’re the ones that actually last. We’ll talk about why the quietly wealthy:

    • Know what “enough” truly means
    • Spend intentionally, not emotionally
    • Protect their time as carefully as their money
    • Often live below their means
    • Stay curious, engaged, and mentally active
    • Plan for longevity, not just retirement
    • And don’t obsess over money — even though they manage it well
If you’re in or approaching retirement, or simply want a calmer, more meaningful relationship with money, this video is for you. Quiet wealth is less about accumulation — and more about living well for the long haul.
👉 Subscribe to Life Starts at Retirement for honest conversations about money, purpose, and creating a life that feels rich in every sense of the word.

    • And what I’d tell my younger self if I had the chance
If you’re approaching retirement, newly retired, or simply reflecting on your own journey, I hope these lessons make you feel less alone—and maybe help you avoid a few detours I took along the way.
