Liberty Conspiracy - 2-4-14 On Nullification - Both Constitutional and Personal Feb 04, 2014

Show notes

Welcome back! In this special program, we expand on our discussion of nullification, looking at it from an historical POV, a Constitutional POV, and in a broader moral sense -- personal nullification. Gardner Goldsmith delves into the history of nullification in the US, the ability of the federal branches to nullify each branch, the ability of states to nullify, and the ability of citizens on juries to nullify. Then he takes it further, looking at why leftists are so afraid of state nullification -- because it can logically lead to personal nullification of the state. That freaks many of them out when it doesn't agree with their policy agendas. That and music from The Golden Palominos "The Animal Speaks" (Lydon on vocals) and The New Bomb Turks ("Grandpa Atomic", "Dented and Spent" and "Girl Can Help It")!!! Spread the word if you can! Liberty Conspiracy - 1-27-14 On Obama's NSA 'Reform' Speech - pt 1 of 2 Jan 28, 2014

Show notes

Welcome, Conspirator... In this program, we reveal the falsehoods and prevarications in President Obama's so-called "NSA Reform" speech. Not only does he lie about his previous actions, he paves the way for an INCREASE in spying via a CISPA-like proposal what will undoubtedly be presented as part of a "national security" bill in mid-March. This is important stuff. We hope you can spread the word! Liberty Conspiracy - 12-23-13 Re-Worked! - Dissecting CNN's Profound Bias on NSA Spying, Live, Plus, When A DC Panel Admits NSA Spying Didn't Stop Any Terrorists, They Call for MORE POWER Dec 23, 2013

Show notes

(Note: There was a glitch in the original version of this audio, published on 12-23, so we've re-cut it to fix it!) Yeah, that's right! The last part of our title indicates something we've already mentioned many times, but it seems to take Washington a long time to see the truth. So what happened when a DC panel recently had to admit that the NSA meta-data program has not stopped any terrorist attacks? You got it. They demanded MORE power! We cover that, and the stunning bias of CNN news in covering Larry Klayman's victory (in district court) against the NSA spying program. Gardner Goldsmith dissects this amazingly unfair and hypocritical network coverage, which isn't even coverage, but propaganda to slam Mr. Klayman. Klayman, the man who founded Judicial Watch, is likely a paleo-conservative with libertarian leanings. He has brought suit against the Clinton Admin (for many things, including their closed-door sessions on health insurance regulation, which forced the Clintons to pay, but got little attention in the pop media), against the Bushies for deceiving people about Iraq prior to the non-War, and other worthy issues. While his positions on things like immigration and other issues (you'll hear a few of them in the segment) might not fit with most members of the Liberty Conspiracy, we think his suit against the NSA is worth discussing, and the way CNN treated him in order to turn attention away from the actual ISSUE is reprehensible. Check it out and spread the word about this amazing bias. Hope you like! All that and music from Paul Weller "Around the Lake", The Sex Pistols "New York", Paul Weller "When You're Garden's Overgrown", Schtum "Skydiver", The Hookers "Get Fucked!", Miles Kane "Inhaler", and the Bonniwell Music Machine "Mother Nature, Father Earth" (which Miles Kane has made sure folks know inspired him for "Inhaler"). Liberty Conspiracy - 12-18-13 - Guests Furb and Glenn Jacobs on NSA and the Courts, ABC News Lying about GM Bailout, and Bitcoin! Dec 18, 2013

Show notes

Welcome back to the Conspiracy! In this portable production for liberty, our guests Furb (founder of the Freedom Book Club) and Glenn Jacobs ("Kane" in the WWE, "Citizen X" to many podcast listeners, and well known as an erudite libertarian speaker on Youtube) discuss a number of issues with El G Grande, the founder of the Liberty Conspiracy. You'll hear information about the recent US District Court ruling on the NSA "metadata" program, about ABC deceiving viewers on the subject of the GM "bailout", and about Bitcoin and the nature of currency! It's timely and interesting, and we're very grateful to Furb and Glenn for spending time with us and offering their excellent insight! Remember, over a year ago, we tried to tell people that the GM bailout was a net loser for the federal gubment... Well guess what ABC doesn't want anyone to know... :) Lots of interesting stuff! Make sure you listen to the material on Bitcoin, and feel free to offer your opinions at our forum at www.libertyconspiracy.com! This pod also includes music by: RealFaction "Unleashed", Broken Deck with "Desert Journey", Run DMC "Christmas in Hollis", Hawkwind "Silver Machine", The Cynics "Turn Me Loose", Nashville Pussy and Danko Jones "I'm So High", The Circle Jerks "When the Shit Hits the Fan", and Human Sexual Response "House of Atreus"! Check out their work! Be Seeing You!

Liberty Conspiracy - 11-11-13 Analyzing the Essay Called "Libertarians Are the New Communists" Nov 11, 2013

Show notes

Welcome back, and thanks fo-checkin' us out. In this brief production, we study an essay that appeared September 5 via Bloomberg. It took two people to write this editorial, and we thought it would be worthwhile to dissect its content and presentation. We hope you find the thoughts we offer to counter the claims of these writers. Their piece is so rife with assumptions and Straw Man arguments, so full of rhetorical coloring without real definitions (even as they say they want to define things), that it is a valuable example of the left-statist "criticism" of libertarian ideas. Feel free to listen, and to comment at our website! We're at www.libertyconspiracy.com! Music? We open with "Lorelei" by the Cocteau Twins, then hit "Mirror in the Bathroom" by the English Beat, and finish with "Primitive P Painters" by Felt (with Elizabeth Frasier of Cocteau Twins doing backing vocals). Thanks for conspiring! Be Seeing You!
