Lewis Black has some things to get off his chest! With his weekly podcast “Lewis Black’s Rantcast,” the Grammy-winning comedian does just that. Channeling his anger in ways only a man who’s devoted his entire life to ranting can do. The tirades are sometimes big, other times small, yet they are always fun-spirited and truly hilarious. No topic is safe from Black’s trademark style of comedic yelling and animated finger-pointing. Skewering anything and anyone that gets under his skin. On the “Rantcast,” Black isn’t the only person getting things off his chest, each week Lewis allows fans to submit their gripes so he can commiserate in their frustrations. Black’s long career includes movie roles in Accepted, the voice of Anger in the Pixar’s “Inside Out,” and is currently the longest-running correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”

Does anybody really care?

Well, we turned the clocks forward an hour and with it comes the annual debate about whether Daylight Savings time is a good idea or not. With both sides of the argument pulling their annual selective amnesia about the event. March also marks the start of The NCAA College Basketball Tournament which brings both great joy and a great distraction to Lewis. From what? Well, take your pick – could be GOP’s wild response to the State of the Union, Missouri finally realizing it’s 2024, the ongoing Middle East conflict or even silly things like one a man’s obsession with Big Macs. It’s a veritable smorgasbord of stories one wants to avoid.

RANT #1 - Justin is a teacher and he has an issue with phone in class policies.

This week on the podcast Lewis ponders what would happen if we all just collectively decided not to vote in the 2024 Presidential Election. This is because of a group of people that just don't feel energized by this year being a rematch of the 2020 election. In one corner a probably insurrectionist and in the other a person who might've done some good but no one seems to hear him. But the lethargy doesn't seem to end with the White House as most of Congress seems to be running in the opposite direction of progress.

The world lost the comic voice of Richard Lewis this week. Lewis takes a moment to acknowledge the loss of a comedy legend. The national news is still nonsense as what election season wouldn't be complete without another border crisis. Lewis also composed his thoughts enough to weigh in on Alabama's draconian IVF laws and in the process is reminded of a bit he performed over a decade ago that sadly still remains relevant today.

But it's not all doom, Baseball is back and Lewis has thoughts on his beloved Baltimore Orioles and even some March Madness is around the corner.

It’s one of those weeks where it’s almost too much to bear. In the wake of mass shootings, Louisiana issues new rules on gun control that are borderline infuriating. The rise of Measles for no good reason will make your head spin. Meanwhile Missouri Senators are debating draconian rules of engagement. If that isn’t enough, another Government shutdown is exactly what we don’t want or need right now. The week was a lot, so much in fact maintaining the proper level or rage over Alabama’s Embryo ruling going to have to wait.

This week on the Rantcast, Lewis ponders why we’re live in a constant heightened state of stress. It’s supposed to snow, but according to the news reports its snowmageddon. Border problems can’t seem to be solved because politicians sabotage themselves. One old person is running for office, let’s make it two. Two celebrities can’t just be dating, they have to be part of a larger political conspiracy. Can’t just watch the Super Bowl, you have to watch a game within a game, within a game. Empty Nesters can’t handle being empty nesters, so they hire people to keep them company. It’s more than most can stand, Lewis realizes and is here to call B.S. on it.
