Bischel talks about his playing career and coaching path that ultimately led him to the Bearcats where he led one of the country’s most impressive turnarounds in 2024. Cincinnati was picked to finish last in the Big 12 last spring, but finished fifth in Bischel’s debut season. Harrison, a Cincinnati native, describes his path to UC and his favorite moments with the Bearcats and in MLB, including his debut with the Pirates, his first all-star game and playing nearly every position in baseball.

The impact his uncle and cousins had on his love of basketball growing up in Cleveland
His unique recruitment and playing with fellow future college star Sam Clancy (USC)
Playing for legendary coach Bob Huggins and with Kenyon Martin – among other Cincinnati stars – and several inside stories about one of the top basketball eras in Cincinnati basketball history.
How he went from the sixth man to a two-time conference player of the year and an All-American and many of his legendary performances, including the game he personally outscored Southern Miss in 2002, his school-record 16-assist performance and his final game at Fifth Third Arena where his last-second floater forced overtime.
