The natural sounds of the water cycle that revitalizes and distributes nutrients across this oasis in the cosmos we evolved on. Use this to think, relax, meditate, and sleep.
This is what heavy rain and thunder storms sound like from inside my house. Sleep deeply.
Let's find out if we can make it through this 1000 fact book about all things space, astronomy, cosmology, aerospace, engineering, physics, and history... while whispering. Can't sleep? This is a reading, and sparse commentary, about the recorded cycle that societies/civilizations oscillate through, as seen in ancient Greece, revolutionary France and perhaps even in today's data-laden America. This periodic trend is marked by governments of tyranny that are overthrown into a free society, which then evolve into being burdened with anarchy and decentralized value systems. The anxiety provoked by such chaos caves to the stability of tyranny so it is welcomed once again under the guise of equal enslavement for all. Sweet dreams.

The Andromeda galaxy was still just a curiosity; a hazy nebula yet to be explored. Supernovae were still deep mysteries. And the thought that our universe could be more than 100,000 light-years across was unheard of. Let's find out how far our knowledge of space (supernovae and variable stars, in particular tonight), has come in 200 years. This has to be the longest unboxing video ever made... Thank you, everyone, who made this possible. All my supporters on patreon, paypal, my gift givers, my viewers, and all of you who show love in the comments. Tonight we unwrap everything from letters, Lord of the Rings, ancient mythology, and history, to Carl Jung, astronomy posters, an ASMRCTICA t-shirt, electronics, incense, candles, and... another REALLY OLD astronomy textbook (1846)! #ASMR #unboxing #books "I never let schooling interfere with my education" -Mark Twain
I often browse r/educationalGIFs and have found some great astronomy related ones over the years. Here I've compiled my top 25(-ish) GIFs that illuminate space travel, cosmic phenomena, our solar system, or just fascinating space themed ideas. And thank you patrons for your continued support. There are no hard feelings if you feel it's no longer worth it, but a million thanks as many of you continue to keep giving. It means the world to us. Tonight we're reading some interesting history on early human exploration across the Pacific Ocean and how that's evolved into our space engineering and testing, and speculation about our astronomical future in the stars. Some main characters are Robert Goddard, Freeman Dyson, and our prehistoric ancestors. Youtube video version: https://youtu.be/iDDhHNYIgo0
Browsing through a few new astronomy books I found. Talking about the drake equation and SETI, physics, and scales of planet sizes and distances in the solar system.
